Forgot to mention Pat - when you unlocked all freqs the other night I heard an air to air conversation between two Americans. Probably happens a fair bit as I've heard that a few times now when freq unlocked.

Probably on 121.5 looking for ride reports or football scores :)

Does Knock close at 7 on a Sunday usually? Late flight in there just now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,179 ✭✭✭✭fr336

Could anyone listen to Knock feed for me http://www.liveatc.net/flisten.php?mount=eikn2&icao=eikn and if you know tell me what the beeping noise over the white noise is? Never heard it before, though heard something similar on Shanwick.

123.45 possibly.......121.5 is guard frequency hopefully not for chit-chat :)

Nope 121.5 is for football scores and ride reports, 123.45 is for general chit chat, totally different, just ask any American pilot :)

I do know their real purposes, but listening to them across the Atlantic gets frustrating for the reasons above.

Come on Pat, a day of 121.5 and 123.45 please :D

A cynic might say that seeing one Norwegian Dreamliner in the air is a bit of a rarity, but two in trail..?

Over the north coast now, both heading for Copenhagen.
