New reg plates, got 18mm double sided tape, would you need 2 rows of it, or would one be fine? And does the tape need to stretch the length of the plate, or will a bit in the middle be enough?

Tape in the middle all along the plate kinda like a long equals sign, tape at the side too :)

It being a nice evening and all and I was in topaz seen 5 euro car wash thought why not save me having to take the stuff out of the shed and I had a wash hand mitten and shampoo in the car anyway. Put in the code started to rinse the car thought to myself this is great so handy then look over only to realise it had a 10 minute timer it was a disaster from then on. I don't care how hard you try you can't properly wash a car in 10 minutes so I ended up with a half cleaned car great.

I normally find the longest option in topaz is enough to wash even my GMC truck, but only if it is clean-ish already. For a full on clean it wouldnt be long enough.

This one just reads 10 mins and count down what do you mean longest option ?

I can wash my car, including alloys in 8 minutes using the 2bm.

I occasionally go to the KCR Topaz carwash with the truck if I am going to a show the next day but couldnt be bothered spending an age to prep her.
You can select a time between 8-16 mins (afaik, and im not sure of the exact times) and pay less or more depending on how long.

Almost had a brown trouser moment earlier today in Glasnevin.

Took a left turn from Finglas Road onto Slaney Road to find an oul fella directly towards me on the wrong side of the road.

I drew an MS paint thingy. My car is the white rectangle and his is the red one. On his side of the road there are two lanes, and on mine just one. He decided to make another going his direction.

    TzlWVgk.png

It scared the bejaysus out of myself and Mrs Dord. Thankfully we weren't going fast and I was able to stop in time.

    @Dord
I used to live not too far from that intersection.
Both it, and the roads around it, are prone to a lot of idiotic driving it seems.

Would the GMC fit through a conveyor wash " Texaco spawell ?

and anytime i go through that area its always full of "L" drivers (driving test area ofcourse) but the ones who are on their own not being accompanied are useless !

Yeah, I'd agree. Not the first dodgy situation I've encountered around there. Although usually it's with pedestrians dashing across the road to the cemetery. I guess they want to stay in there. :P

Lads...... it happened to me today, I had the car spotless, shiny as anything, had to go in and get wrapping paper for granny pickles in tesco, so i park as far away as humanly possible from all the clouts, no sooner had i locked my door when this clapped out fiesta with a few biyyyyys in her park right beside me, empty spaces for as far as the eye could see, and they park beside me, so i stared yer man down until he got the message and bawwwed off to another spot

Now i can understand why people get annoyed at it

So Mintex, Bosch and Brembo discs for my car are all a similar price. Any recommendation?

Airside was on last night i see, that would explain the increased level of muppetry on the M50 last night and all the offers of free rolling health checks on my car that i received from passing fellow concerned 'enthusiasts'. :D

Note to said enthusiasts i didn't racer you because

    A. I didn't want to embarrass you in front of your mates.
    B. I'm not stupid i know what an R34 skyline looks like.
    C. I'm a grown man.

    :D

At work this morning, a 2013 Fiat 500. Surprisingly not the worst I have seen, not even on a car this new.

That photo made me gag. I ****ing hate that brown sweat-****e stuff...

I hate it on computer mice
    I hate it on controllers

And I hate how sticky and gloopy and gooey and utterly sickly mank it is trying to get it off the car too. It all gets on the handbrake and gearknob and steering wheel.

So if I put 830 euro on Donegal to win tommorow and they do I'd get close to 6k. I can see how people are tempted by gambling. I put a fiver on them.

Yes but if you lose then you just put 830 down the drain. A dangerous game, coming from someone who gambles on penny stocks.

the only electrical problems are due to the pesky german electrics:pac:
Having previously owned a polo, id beg to differ....at least if the alfa ever breaks down (neither ever have), its a nice place to be in:p
