Whatever you replace it with, I'll get in it with you;)

Search the following "sr20 ae86" that's the plan.
Pickles can attest to how quickly the s14 could move. That Engine with the same power being developed in a Corolla would be heart stopping :)

I can indeed attest to it, it was shocking quick was at the gate one minute, the next half a mile up the road

Saw a 2009 RS6 Avant down by work today, the size of the brakes was unreal!

The quickest thing I've been in so far was a 450bhp Sierra cosworth.

I have been scared by an absolute lunatic in a 320d

The only machine that has scared me ****less was a supermoto quad, it was a Yamaha banshee frame with a 750cc Kawasaki 2 stroke in it, 1 test ride was enough, I caught air over a small hump in the road at 100 mph+ it was some rush but never again.

Oddly enough the car that's scared me ****less was an opel vectra, driven by father dearest just before he flipped it at 90mph :o How I'm alive I've no idea

I'm recently after buying an Audi A4 & just have 2 quick questions for you knowledgeable folk. For the first few days of driving it the windscreen wiper sensors worked fine & the wipers came on automatically every time there was rain. Now however, they have stopped doing this and I have to turn them on manually . Did I accidentally turn them off somehow ? ( I was doing a lot of button pressing! )

Secondly , the outside lights are on during the day in the car even though I have the lights switched off inside the car . Is this a safety feature or can the lights be turned off and I'm just missing out on how to do it? Cheers

check ye olde drivers manual ;) as for the second its a safety feature, mine has it too, you can usually disable it by pulling a fuse, at least thats the way on mine

For the auto wipers to work they need to switched onto the intermittent setting. They won't work when the switch is off. Sensitivity can be altered by the rocker switch too - same one that adjusts speed.

The day time running lights are on all the time. They can be turned off permanently but this will need to be programmed by someone with the software.

Cheers lads, the lights can stay on so - don't fancy the hassle of disabling them that way. I wouldn't have guessed that about the wipers - I'll put them on the intermittent setting when I'm in the car next.

Insurance paid for another 12 months, €970 gone just like that :(

I fitted new front brake pads on the car and new rear brake pads as well. Rear were kind of difficult as I thought I had to just unbolt top and bottom bolts and pop them out. Tottally different. I had to take the centre console out and release the tension from the hand brake cable and then remove this horse shoe clip and few other steps. Easy now that I know how to do it. Thank god for the internet. I came accross a guide on the FTO Ireland forum. Both are Mitsubishi and both MIVEC and I know now they are the same brakes, as the guide they had worked perfectly.

I also was driving around on two cylinders for the past month. I thought the engine was shot. Came accross another guide on the internet to short two connections on the ODB II port and turn ignition and it will flash the fault code. Turns out the ignition coil pack on cylinder 1 and 4 was shot, so I picked a aftermarket one up cheaply from a kind chap on another Irish motor forum and now car is perfect, back firing on all four cylinders.

Today I got a new windscreen as some how a massive star shaped crack apeared on windscreen. I have no idea how it happened.

Next on the to do list is get four new tyres as winter is coming, as they say on game of thrones.

A guy on the other forum said that as well. As he said fuel would have gone down to cat but I needn't worry as I have a de-cat on it. I was sorry I put it on as it made damn all difference in power just extra noise. But I suppose it worked out for the best as I read up on my car and the stock cat is a high flow cat, so I'd say it's an expensive enough one and the car also had great numbers on it's last NCT and I took it off shortly after and fuel running in would have destroyed it.

Reminds me of the time we were selling a full size running machine. Big heavy enough yoke. Lad shows up from dublin to collect it in a yaris. I thought it was a piss take at first but he was dead serious. We loaded it in somehow. And he drove back to dublin with it. Although over half of it was hanging out the back I thought the whole thing was hilarious. I think I even have a picture of it.

They'd get destroyed with the cold so! Anyone else find it freezing this past day or 2?
