Best Place to get Retro Games

I am in dublin and i was wondering where would be the best place to get games not online( like ebay) maybe like a car boot sale

please post some suggestions as im not able to buy stuff online cuz im only goin into fifth year

Adverts has a fairly decent selection of retro titles on it, and prices are negotiable, often with collection of meet ups to exchange money and goods.
In town you have Bookmart and Gamesexchange, The RAGE (expensive) and a few dotted around the capital like Retropolis, although that is now based on Adverts you can pick up in Dublin as far as I know.
Also, keep your eyes on Sunday markets and Charity shops.

Get yourself a prepaid visa card like the o2 money card, you just top it up like phone credit and you're free to buy online with no bills. As ciderman said the only bricks and mortar shops in Dublin would be the RAGE on fade street or Gamesexchange on Talbot street. Be prepared to pay more for games though. Also if you're going into 5th year I'm guessing you're 16/17 so just be careful if you're going to meet up with people online from adverts deals or whatever.

You can register to use Adverts, any age can.
Then you can browse the ads and arrange deals there.
If you get over 50 posts you can also use the Marketplace here in the Arcade and Retro forum, there's some good deals to be had there.

You should be able to, at least you used to. If not it's the same as setting up a facebook/boards account. Adverts itself is not a site you buy from directly like ebay or whatever, people just advertise items for sale, you then contact the seller and arrange to meet or organize postage.

You can buy a prepaid card, stick your few bob onto it and use it online.
Otherwise just keep your eyes on the Marketplace and Adverts, set a budget and you'll be fine, run any deals by the regulars here to see if you're getting a good deal or not.

Neither are credit cards to be fair. With either a debit card(under the age of 18) or a prepaid card (like swirl card/o2 money card) you have to actually have money to spend it. You can't spend money that you don't have like you could with a credit card.

My parents wouldnt allow those cards but id be able to go around most of Dublin

Looks like The Rage walk in shop and Adverts.ie are your only real options so.

The Rage has a good selection but a lot of the stuff is more expensive then you'll pay for it on ebay.

Looks like going to adverts or brick and mortar shops are my only option now and fyi im only 15 my parent could consider the card option next year

You're allowed to legally work at the age of 15(maybe younger these days, I dunno), cant believe you don't have a bank account. I think I'd a bank account from 1st year.
anyway look on adverts, sometimes there's genuinely bargains but you've gott be quick, there are saved searches which notify you by email so they can be handy if you are looking for something specific.

The thrift shop facing LIDL on Moore St sometimes has older gear. Granted, they were trying to flip a GCN bundle for €50, so it might not be a destination, but perhaps worth keeping an eye on.

Cash Encounters had older stuff when they were based on Talbot St, but since the move to Parnell, they seem to have dumped all of it. Again, it might behoove you to throw an odd visit in, see if they're reintroducing it.

The Comic Book stall in Blackrock market sells everything from Amiga to PS3, is well-priced and the guy running it is very, very sound. Heavily limited stock, but definitely earns a mosey about.

I have been hitting everywhere stated lol. Its slim pickings unless your willing to travel, "i leave all the doubles"

P.S bookmark has a bad selections, bad trade in and bad prices.....
