Hadn't used for the trailer in about 4 weeks. ... God they'd nearly build a nest in your ear!!

I didn't go near it btw. Is it not late for birds to be building nests??

Probably a second hatching for them. Or could have had their old nest destroyed before the young fledged either.

Wouldn't be betting on those young surviving the flight back though unless an Indian summer lets their wings build up enough strength :(

Hope prices pick up as these two have been piling on the weight in the last 4-6 weeks, would like to have a scales to know for sure but I would think they are doing 1.5+kg a day, just strip grazing plenty of grass.

Both are 26 months so would like to get another 150+kg or so on each before 30month, would like to get them both to 380kg-400kg dead without much meal.
Not used to finishing these types so will see how it goes...

30 acre field of spring barley. Propino.
Will be another couple of weeks before it's ready. No lodging and looks very clean.
Here's hoping that itl pass for malting

Yeah true. But I think it will be the end of the month, lad sowing that field missed every second tram line, so it was a guessing game spaying but i only missed one little patch! I was happy with that.
I'll put up the other field tommorow

I'd have to look it up but it was 2 weeks later than last year cause of weather.

I'd say your not buying any bad ones ! Thats a grand bit of strip grazing , is it the rope stuff you're using in the fence ?

That pic is a credit to you Muckit. A nice bunch of whites are always easy on the eye and good grass too. Had you topped/ mowed that field during the summer?
