My rant for today - "Shabby Chic".

Hate the term, hate the concept, hate the shops that go in for it and the "roish D4" attitude that it exudes.

Save yourself hundreds and pick up a piece of real "shabby chic" in Oxfam or any charity shop, plus your money will do some good.

Glad I got that off my chest! :pac:

So when you're going to have a real life rant with someone beside you in work, make sure you don't forget to put yourself on mute from the conference call you're having with a couple of colleagues from around the globe. Thankfully I think the Irish accent hid some of the swear words I used and they gamely carried on as if I never said a thing.

Every keyboard warrior thinking they're Paul Kimmage these days.

Kimmage would be screwed if he went around relying on his gut and adding "I hope I'm wrong" at the end of each story.

She didn't buy any water from M&S: because I called her a che[e]psgate the other day, she's giving it the large and blagging that she's some posh bird ; she found the bottle on the side of the road and filled it up with canal water. M&S - my ar$e :D

Well, we do live in the first world. You won't get many people having third world problems.

And on that note, the tiler who put our hall tiles down 10 years ago, he must have used buckets and buckets of the cement they use to build nuclear power stations. I'll have arms like popeye but the time I pull them all up.

Bitching about the quality of a thread on a forum, that's a first world problem if I've ever heard one. ;)

    *(Deep Breath)*

The state of the Rant thread these days. Turning into a social commentary thread, what ever happened to the repressive Irish nature that let things fester under the surface before unleashing in all its glory with a slightly offensive statement saved only by the fact that there was some element of relatable truth. I blame that f**king Joe Duffy effect where everyone feels entitled to b!tch and moan about about every little detail of every little aspect of their lives

    F**K you Joe

Following on from this people who passively moan about things. If there is a possibility of addressing a problem address if, feck all this passive aggressive Sh!te

Reverse elitism – celebrating mediocrity to the point where not only is it accepted, people actually use it as a source of justfication allowing belittlement of other people’s opinions because of their achievement. From 8 hr marathons right down to 2hr marathons have a right to an opinion, pole ends of either should not be excluded

Drink culture – “No I don’t have five heads, yes that is non alcoholic beer, no I am not on medication” F**k right off with your assumptions because I don’t want to spend every day off dying of a hangover, yes I do like beer but not the sole determinant of a good night for me

And lastly the irony me posting my first point in the rant thread (mind you struggling to post at all these days)

People who are big, taking more than half the seat on the bus. It's not my fault you're overweight. I am entitled to half the seat regardless of your size. So keep to your half bukko

The same big people who expect you to give up your seat so they can sit their fat arse down if there aren't any others available.

Actually I wonder why there's so few non-alcoholic or low alcohol beers? Would love to be able to go out on a night and drink low alcohol beer all night, meaning no hangover. Can't drink soft drinks or juices all night and very few places have the only nice non-alcoholic beer I've tasted (the Erdinger one).

Surely there has to be a market for a couple more non-alcoholic beers and some mid strength ones?

Had that on a plane once.... fat b4stard beside me taking up his seat and spilling into mine. I was in the middle also, and he'd been drinking so the honk off him was vile. :(
