lots (dont worry thats a statistical scientific term for many) of americans dont have a passport and have never been out of the US but reading some posters here its clear they havent been outside ireland their whole lives!

I started outside Ireland, I suppose that counts for something. I've lived in Scotland, South Africa, London & Dublin.

I was abroad in the kitchen there last week to get a cuppa tae but not since then just here in the sittin room watchin the box and doin f***uck all on boards

Americans who have never left the states is no different to an Irish person who has never left Europe to be fair about this, the US is a feckin' huge yoke!

Yeah. Was born out of Ireland! Visited 5 countries before my first birthday.

Many of my friends parents have never left the country, and have no intention of ever doing so. Each to their own I guess.

Yeah about 30 countries I think. Unlikely to be able to increase it by much more now that I'm poorer and more rooted to where I live.

I've been to UK, France, Netherlands, Spain, Czech Republic, Italy, Turkey, Kurdistan, Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Morocco, USA and Cuba. I'm going to Iran next year and possibly Bangladesh at the end of next year as well.

I've been to every county in Ireland except Derry. I've never been to Scotland and in five years of living in the UK, I've spent less than seven nights outside of London.

I'm abroad most of the time

I also like to go from abroad to abroad, although sometimes it's nice to go home. I know people, who don't really travel and it doesn't bother them at all. I don't think I could live like that but as said before each to their own. As longs as they're happy

in fairness the whole world is turning into the united states of america consumerism. lines are blurred wherever you go now. maybe what you meant was if youve never been to a developing country.

in europe there are different languages and cultures, same cant be said for the US. size isnt every thing

Never left Europe but have been to 11 countries. It was 10 until last week when I accidentally ended up in Belgium when trying to find Maastricht.

I live in the US so yes, I've been abroad. My boyfriend is American and before we met, he didn't have a passport. In fact the only place he has ever been outside of America is Ireland with me. States are so big here and vary a lot though so tbh I can kinda understand why a lot of Americans don't travel internationally.

If you think there are not different languages and cultures in the US then you have either not travelled there much, or didn't interact much when you were there.

Yup, pretty much.

I don't like saying it the countries because I have basically only been to one tiny part of the country, I haven't seen it all.
