Pretty happy with my team at the moment, still cant decide on lots of things like risking filipe luis, going costa vs more money in midfield. I think whatever I do I'll have doubts anyway.

Very strong front - Rooney, Costa and Giroud is the best I have seen so far.

    Is Cabella worth 7.5m?

You could fit Paulinho (7m) or Eriksen (if you find 0.5 somewhere) to give you some Spurs presence.

I have Sigurdsson as my my 4th @ 6.0m so I'd need 2.0 for Eriksen.. That would involve dropping Filipe Luis to a 4.0!

Not sure where you saw Cabella! :p

I accidentally looked at another team posted above yours:o

Looked odd to even have Cabella in your team tbh.

No chance to bring Eriksen then. I would leav it as is, then. The 3 up front should do the job.

I think I will eventually go mad and this may change after tomorrow but here goes

GK De gea ( myhill )
    Def Cameron - Ferdinand - Jagielka ( Clyne - Mariappa )
    Mid Ramsey - Eriksen - Fabregas - Mata ( Albrighton )
    Off Rooney(c) - Diego Costa - Jelavic

Jag is overpriced and has bad fixtures, Cameron and Mariappa are far from certain starters. Midfield and forwards look good though personally I wouldn't be a fan of Jelavic.

Think you were looking at my team. 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season so yes, I think he is worth 7.5 :)

I could replace Jelavic with Long , and do you have a suggestion for Jag ?

Albrighton picked up a knock tonight, Ismaey of Southampton possible replacement, played a few games pre season.

Can't take to your defence at all, looks too cheap to me, Has Costa costu a decent defence??

He "might" be worth it. Had a look on wikipedia as I had no idea who he was tbh.

He also had 5 assists. I would wait and see before spending 7.5m on him.

Maybe downgrade to a cheap defender like Coloccini and upgrade Mariappa and Cameron to team mates more likely to play. Or you could go with Ben Davies who's 5m but not a guaranteed starter or find extra money for Vertongen or a Chelsea defender.

I still have a week so ill keep an eye on Albrighton , did you mean Isgrove ??

The defence isn't the best but they mix up well for the first 5-6 weeks and Costa should bang them goals in hopefully , im worried about Jelavic cant decide between him or Long .

I'd have Austin or Bojan even before Jelly. Isgrove yeah, a filler that plays, priceless.

    GK: Krul and Mannone
Def: Evans, Davies, Coloccini, Vlaar and Wisdom
Mid: Yaya, Sanchez, Fabregas, Mata and Albrighton
    Forwards: Rooney, Remy and Bojan

Thoughts? I know the back and upfront isnt great but love the midfield. thinking of going 3-4-3 with albrighton, wisdom and coloccini/Vlaar as the bench.

    Anywhere I can improve here?

Is Wanyama a guaranteed starter or is there a better option for 4.5?

So I've been away for the last 2 weeks and blissfully unaware of any transfer goings on.

    Did I miss anything big?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Calum Chambers to Arsenal for £16M did you hear that one? Other than that the pre-season form of Bojan has been the main talking point

    :o

Ha no I missed that one! Quiet enough so, last minute flurry activity to ruin everyone's carefully laid plans it seems.

Lukaku to Sunderland for £22m probably the biggest move.

I'd nominate Mickey Turner's move to Chelsea after Terry retired as noteworthy :)

    Mannone
    OShea, Vlaar, Bruce
    Mata, Ramsey, Fabregas, Nasri, Sigurdsson
    Rooney, Sturridge

    Given, Welbeck, Dummett, McShane

Any thoughts on this lineup? Went seriously cheap in defence but I think the midfield and forwards are strong enough to make up for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,700 ✭✭✭Danger781

Surely Bruce isn't guaranteed.. nor is Dummett.. or McShane

He won't get every week, but he will get time.

The point is in fpl terms he's to be avoided. I think most would agree on this

Welbeck will be gone once RVP is back. With RVP missing the first few games Welbeck will get a nice points haul. Once I downgrade him I'll have some more cash to upgrade the defence.

    first few games?

RVP has a weeks training under his belt now. Barring injury it's pretty safe to assume he'll be in the starting lineup for gameweek2. So i don't know at all where you're getting a few games from. gameweek1 will most likely see rooney and one of wellbeck/chicarito. i wouldn't even rule out RVP playing some part. gameweek2 i would expect to see wellbeck benched.

    What do ye think lads?

    Weak defence (ish)
Strong midfield maybe risky with two Chelsea players but two easy games for Chelsea in 1st two GWs
    Mid range strikers
