Hopefully just a couple of hours, which would allow me to watch some of McIlroy at home this evening :)

Strange... it's still raining lightly with more heavy rain due shortly. Might be a lot of stop starts today unfortunately.

Also... no preferred lies so you can presume there will be a lot of casual water relief taken through the day.

Unfortunately Shane has bogeyed his first two holes, hopefully he can get it going soon

Looks like he could only hack his second on the second down the fairway from rough

When will Rory be teeing off? When the rain stops?

Of all the players on the course, only 3 are under par.

Well if I could pick one man that will never ever win a major then it's Luke Donald. Just not good enough, he's a former world number one and has he ever been properly in contention to win one? Not that I can recall. Westwood, Sergio and Monty etc get way more stick for being bottlers etc but at least they've been in contention to win majors loads of times, Donald has never even got that far

5 top 5's for Donald, not a regular contender but has been in the mix occasionally.

The PGA Tour will have to put pressure on the PGA to revise the provision of 20 places in the PGA Championship for the top 20 from the PGA Professional National Championship which is the national championship for teaching and club professionals. The way things are going, not one of the 20 will make the cut which seems to be par (pun intended) for the course. They're on the leaderboard (browser version) with 'CP' beside their names.

As of now (15:30), 8 of the bottom 10 who are playing are 'CPs' and there's only two of them inside the top 100.

Lowry on the cut line now, surprised with his poor play today.

Great par save on 14th for Rory. Still -5, one bogey and one birdie today.

He playing back 9 first though ya? So he has 12 more holes left? (not watching it at mo)

Anyone know why shot tracker is constantly 15 minutes behind on the pga app? Also I dont see shot tracker on the official tournament app, am I missing something??

No shot tracker on the official pga champ app, but at least the board is up to date. The pgatour app board and tracker are way behind, frustrating!

The pgatour website is a joke these days, often takes 5 or 6 refreshes to get the leaderboard page to even load. I don't how they managed to mess it up so badly because it used to work perfectly fine.

I dunno, the Irish Open has a lot of Irish Club Pros playing in it, I'd see this as pretty similar, albeit on a bigger stage.

It's run by the PGA themselves rather than the PGA tour so I suppose there has to be a fair representation of their members. Probably a bit like The Open where lesser names get a chance through pre-qualifying.

Stricker -4 already for the day, now there's a top player with an appalling major record. Pretty much part time golfer nowadays as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,889 ✭✭✭Speak Now

PGA has the stongest field of all the majors so I think it would be unlikely they'll be changes regarding the pga pros.

"Water on the club face. Water on the club face. I don't have a chance".

Newsflash Bubba. Things tend to get wet when it's raining out there. Every player has to cope with it. So stop whining and get on with it Blubba.

If he really said that, I'm flabbergasted. Not sure I should be though. My 18 year old son said: 'he's like a teenager' last night :D

PGA leaderboard on the web is now not showing the player's names

Used to like Bubba but he would seriously need to cop the feck on. If I was playing with him he would have got a slap by now.
