My hair started to thin during my mid twenties, good to know it was my fault and that I'm ugly now! Thanks! Muppet.

You were reading fault into that? I don't blame people for losing hair. I just point and giggle.

No matter what way you disguise is it, the topic is pointless and a redundant question, with no discussion value - whether you add the judgement and value of a person's looks the way the OP did, or take away the judgement and value of a person's looks, the way the OP didn't. There's no value in the discussion, it's pure judgement through and through.

And it's judgement of children he's meant to be teaching. "Ugly" children, apparently.

He didn't say that though, did he?

The implication that a guy losing some or all of his hair equates to poor choices like piling on the pounds or letting yourself go in general, or that's it's somehow karma for how they looked or acted in their teens is right there in his post. You may as well tell a woman who contracted MS that it was her fault for being a pretty teenager. (yes, obviously ms is infinitely more serious than hairloss before somebody wants to point that out)

I have little doubt you're that kind of wanker, solid dig to the mouth sorts out people like you easy enough.

maybe what we should discuss is why you're actually working in creche :) seriously though,I think its the opposite in most cases. a girl I grew up with had a really wide face, reall wide I'm talking almost stewie griffin wide, red hair, freckles the whole nine yards.other people thought she was ugly, and I'm sure she thought the same about herself.bumped into her at a family funeral some years back and she's now a complete fox, while a fair few of the girls that used to give her grief waddle around in pennys leggings, bellys hanging out and track suits looking like dogs. And the blokes that wouldn't look at her twice back in the day are now married to said dogs. Its not always clear cut though,I was an ugly cnut of a child,I'm still an ugly cnut now. At least I know I wasn't adopted

You're being ridiculous. All he said was that people becoming unattractive could be largely linked to weight gain.

Yes he did and he's right about that. I still don't understand why hairloss was lumped in there too, though. To clarify, I'm not even bald myself, slight patch at worst.

Because I'm an educator of children and I love my job.

I always find it amusing how people get all upset when someone calls someone ugly (not to their face) yet saying they have an ugly personality is completely fine, despite personality, like looks, largely being out of a persons control.

Anyway, I was a really cute child but am a very plain adult in terms of looks.

You can hide your personality though. For the most part, anyway.

It works in reverse too... There was a few people in my class when I was in school that were good looking kids that are absolute rotters now

You seem to be the only person in this thread with any kind of common decency. To call another person ugly is such a nasty POS thing to do.

You do it everyday in your subconscious. It's human nature, and get this, you probably are nicer to the people you deem more attractive as well.

I agree. Hence, most of us pay our debt to decent society by going Bog-Hogging in some Ballygobackwards nightclub in our twenties at least once.

I don't find this thread distasteful as others do. The OP is making an observation. Only today I let a butterfly out the window and pondered it's transformation from tubby catterpillar to a beautfiul butterfly.

Kids skeletons are still growing so their face shape is slowly changing until they are in their early 20's. I think it is fascinating to see how different people can change over the years. Teeth is also another thing that affects your look. Take a look at Kelly Brooke when she was around 12 years of age, looks totally different.

Ever meet an attractive looking person where their looks fade as they turn out to be an absolute plonker? OR the opposite - a plain Jane/Jim turning into someone beautiful because of their personality.

Think of all those horrendous childhood photos you see of attractive celebrities, and then think of all the cute child actors who grew up to be weird looking adults.

I totally agree. Just because the OP works with kids doesn't mean she is blind to what they look like... It has nothing to do with how she treats them, its an observation.

My cousin is a midwife and she has often said that some babies aint that easy on the eyes, doesn't mean she is going to care for them any less.

I work as a special needs assistant.*

Kids with down syndrome are ugly. They are also not as smart as the other kids. Do ugly and dumb down-syndrome kids grow up to be ugly and dumb down-syndrome adults ?

Hey, just an observation guys. Hurr Durr....

*I'm not an actual special needs assistant.

Trick question. Regardless of age, they all look like Kenny Roberts:

Its not a joke. Its simply showing how utterly stupid and dumb it is to label, compare and speak in a derogatory way about children who are who they are.

The OP to me doesn't seem like the type of person to be in charge of children if he's spending his time doing such things.

Wasting taxpayers' time by making silent observations. Those nanoseconds could be better spent on something more productive.

It means someone mistakenly left you in charge if children and you're online calling them ugly and perpetuating the same simple minded idiotic attitude that causes bullying and all manner of crap these "ugly" kids are going to have to deal with in their lives. Because some idiots think they are not as nice to look at as other kids.

I'd suggest a change of career. Contributor to the lunchtime gossip rags perhaps.

Who the fcuk mentioned tax payers ? And its hardly a silent observation by posting it in a public form on the internet is it ?

I did. It's in the post you quoted. I'm pretty sure he's not pointing at the kids and calling them ugly. That would be bad.

Jeez I hope you don't work with the public with those manners!

And I don't treat the kids differently by looks, I personally favor the smart kids and detest the stupid naughty ones.

As for teenagers. Some potentially good looking teenagers are plagued by spots or braces. Hence the swans from ugly ducklings. The other side happens too. Good looking cheerleader marries early and piles on the pounds. Unrecognisable in her 30's. Good looking guy loses hair or piles on the pounds.

A lot of adult loss of looks is weight related.

And generally not looking after yourself. Drinking too much alcohol, not drinking enough water, smoking, sun bathing...

I think the haggard aul wans you see walking around town literally never drink pure water...just tea tea tea. I think this plays a big part in wrinkles and a general ****ty appearance. And you can spot a smoker a mile off, especially after around 40. Sunbathing/never using sun protection (cause why would ya in Ireland, wha?) has terrible effects on the overall appearance especially in your more mature years.
