No but I haven't gone back to women I've had one or two encounters with due to not been compatible, and that is why it never got to the relationship stage. So imagine if I did abstain and married one of these women, I'd be up the creek, and my paddle wouldn't work:):)

Yup, purely on sex, nothing else. I fancied thr pants off of him, but after two years of dreadful sex, I ended up avoiding sex entirely for a while. That's when I realised it wouldn't work, so I left.

I presume the parents of the priests were married and they saw how their parents marriage worked or didn't work.

This isn't sex before marriage being enforced and stigmatised in a repressive Catholic dominated society, you're making a free choice because of your personal beliefs. It's really no skin of anybody else's nose and the stick you've been getting in this thread is just pathetic, it's the exact kind of shít that gives all atheists a bad name.

I wouldn't be too pessimistic about your chances of finding a similarly minded girl either, though you are limiting your options and a girl you might otherwise be mad about could see this as a deal-breaker and you'll have to respect that. Surely there's Christian dating sites though? If you're in college there's probably Christian societies too. Good luck with it anyways

I would do it whenever my future wife wants to do it and if I meet a woman the same as me then there is no problem as regards compatibility.

Interestingly, Marcel Proust said much the same about the underlying psychology of sexuality.

He had a long beautiful passage in Swann's Way about how people who indulge in S&M do it because they are so overawed by the transcendent nature of love and sex that they try to blind themselves to it through pain and punishment, which is the other side of the coin to the abstention approach.

But he might have put it in a better way than that.:p
