Now that right there from Sergio is top top class behaviour. Not a great start to his round but asks for her contact details!

19 drives in a row over 300 yards from Rory, and not just barely over either!!

Garcia just knocked a diamond out of a spectators ring!! :pac:

Interested to know how that happened all the same!

    What a start from Rory!

Golf pleb here, are these tournaments seen as important? Not being sarcastic, I'm curious and possibly an idiot.

Probably not as important as they were intened to be but major cash and rankings points on offer for those already with ample of both!

Sandwiched 2 weeks after The Open and 1 week before the PGA, nice guaranteed 4 rounds to keep the top 50 ticking over between majors.

Ah whoops, just deleted the question because I thought I sounded like an idiot but thanks for answering.

Another birdie for Rory. 2 shot lead now. He is on fire.

Might as well hand Rory the USPGA as well. No one else is winning that.

He usually does to be fair. I think I heard them say that it's a blind landing zone down there for them

Good man Sergio, great putt. 9 hole shoot out!

Have to pick up on Sergio's sportsmanship of late ( I know he has had a dubious past)...he really does seem to be in a great place mentally. Have heard him a few times tonight saying "good putt" when Rory was on his birdie trail and just there now, he was "asking" Rory's ball to sit because he had over hit it. Very nice to see.

Giving Fowler that massive putt in the WGC Matchplay was the real turning point for me. He's a class act these days imo and I welcome the odd "moody" outburst, he's human.

Did this start late today or did sky just get their timings wrong? I see they have coverage down to end at 11. A bit off with that.

Going through Garcia's ryder cup record there, my God Anthony Kim fairly disappeared off the radar. I had completely forgotten about him. Looked like a huge talent when he first broke onto the scene.

Was a serious talent, hasn't played in over 2 years now so probably won't be seen on tour again.

    What happened to him?

can anyone recommend a radio station that does commentary on this - BBC5 is covering the C/wealth games - any US stations that do live commentary>?

Yeah, did a bit of googling. Knew he had injury problems, but it seems like he might have been a bit fond of the sauce aswell. Not playing any golf at all at the moment (not even recreationally). Can't imagine we'll ever see much of him again, pity.

Some strange coverage today. They just showed a JB Holmes (-2) bogey putt. We've seen none of the likes of Furyk and Fowler who aren't miles off and not that much of Scott and Rose either who are near the top of the leaderboard.
