The world has its eyes wide open, what you're missing is civilians, yet again, as usual, are the pawns of political games and proxy power struggles. Human beings, pitting other human beings against other human beings, for profit and power.

OK I'll answer my own question.

Here is an URL citing quotes from Noam Chomsky wrt Media Control.

    http://tinyurl.com/nm5txej

    Some quotes from that article

"The major media-particularly, the elite media that set the agenda that others generally follow-are corporations “selling” privileged audiences to other businesses. It would hardly come as a surprise if the picture of the world they present were to reflect the perspectives and interests of the sellers, the buyers, and the product. Concentration of ownership of the media is high and increasing. Furthermore, those who occupy managerial positions in the media, or gain status within them as commentators, belong to the same privileged elites, and might be expected to share the perceptions, aspirations, and attitudes of their associates, reflecting their own class interests as well. Journalists entering the system are unlikely to make their way unless they conform to these ideological pressures, generally by internalizing the values; it is not easy to say one thing and believe another, and those who fail to conform will tend to be weeded out by familiar mechanisms."

“Citizens of the democratic societies should undertake a course of intellectual self defense to protect themselves from manipulation and control, and to lay the basis for meaningful democracy.”

Amazing. Two Chomsky political quotes that I actually agree with.

Yeah but it won't. The old biblical eye for and eye doesn't apply here. Israel kills tens or hundreds for every Israeli.

What's the world going to do?

Probably **** all, same as it's doing right now.

Hopefully it will place embargoes on Israel, ordinary citizens will stop buying Israeli produce, politicians will hear from constituants .

I don't understand why sites like boards, google, and even Facebook aren't speaking out. If they had a simple link to some of the petitions on fb or google's front pages, there'd be a hell of a lot more support for palestine.

Well in truth they are self evident as anybody who has worked in a larger corporation would know only too well. The bottom line for all global business concerns is their balance sheet and it would not be a sensible policy to report the news in a way that risks affecting your ratings thus making them less attractive to advertising revenue and inversely you don't report news that casts doubt on the ethics of your advertisers and their vested interests.Play it safe and 'jobs a good'un' as I believe they say in the north of England.

a lot worse to come for Gaza by the looks of it... Israel are planning on depopulating Gaza by whatever means.

Taken from this article in the Jerusalem Post
Annexation of Gaza and expulsion of the population on "humanitarian" grounds. FFS they'd just say black is white so give us the ****ing land wouldn't they?

When do counties lob nukes around ? Do ISIS have nukes now ? Bit of a CT stretch to immediately go to the nuclear option... (And don't say WW2)
My post wasn't that complicated. No I didn't say or suggest ISIS have nukes right now. Iran inevitably will though, and Turkey and Egypt. These are big countries in a dangerous region with a potential enemy who they know has nukes. It has to be a long term goal of theirs.
As for ISIS they are apparently already operating in Gaza on a small scale. If their rise continues to be this meteoric Syria could be next and we're straight to a second front for Israel.

If the daily mail represents British conservatism then israel has lost British support across all ideological divides. Never had the left of course.

And his fellow wanna be civilian murderer, and Hamas counterpart, is no doubt kissing rockets.
There's no excuse for targeting and killing civilians, yet many soldiers in many conflicts around the world seem to take great pleasure in it.

Hamas rockets aren't guided. We have no way of knowing what Mr Hamas soldier thinks he's aiming at.
We know for a cast iron fact Mr IDF soldier aims his artillery at children sleeping in clearly identified UN shelters.
    Not sure if equivalent.

Opps sorry forgot to go along with the Hamas terrorist = good mantra
I don't care which particular terrorist scum, Hamas or Israeli, is trying to murder civilians

Oh, did somebody say Hamas = good?
Hamas might or might not want to kill civilians with their rockets. We simply don't know.
Israel we are 100% certain do want to kill civilians.

Yep Hamas is carefully aiming them at Israeli military targets only. We don't know hamas are bad guys at all, they have no track record at all of any murder or intimidation. Sorry but I'm not taking one terrorists side over another, I don't give a shyte what "side" a terrorist is on. They are on their own side not any civilians. I don't give a shyte if its an Israeli or an Arab doing the murdering of civilians, its wrong. I'm not buying into either Hamas or Israeli terrorists bullshyte.

Israel kills roughly 1000 civilians for every 1 killed by Hamas. Hamas only came into being in response to Israel's siege of Gaza, the start of their obvious long game to annexe the area as they have with the West Bank.
This conflict is squarely at Tel Aviv's door.

The siege of Gaza came about when Hamas seized power in Gaza.

Yeah, funny I used to hear the same type shyte from SF/IRA and the RUC/UDR
I'm not taking one terrorists side over another, I don't give a shyte if they are an Israeli murderer or a Hamas one.

Hmmm, how do you "seize" power after you win a free and fair election exactly?
Nope, Israel starting the siege in 1989. Hamas was only founded about 2 years before hand if you still want to blame them.
