Going to a wedding at a hotel at the weekend. The hotel is an old medieval castle and very picturesque and romantic - a good place to have a wedding at. The hotel website has loads of pictures that show the hotel surrounded by beautiful pristine countryside.

Bur it looked a bit different on Google Street View where it was surrounded ugly corrugated steel farm buildings. It's pretty cheeky and I'm surprised they get away with it given how much they promote it as a wedding venue.

It wasn't that clear to me, since you said there is "no real proper plural of you" and went on to list all the incorrect ones. I inferred from this that you weren't aware that there is a real proper plural of you.

What annoys you then is that there isn't a distinct word for the plural of you. :D

Yep that's what I meant. I didn't mean proper in the literal context.

Back to annoyances. Somebody says ''I didn't do nothing!''

So you did do something, then?

I broke my big toe. I didn't hurt it. It got broken due to wearing "ridiculous" shoes. I didn't even realise it was broken, I thought I was getting a bunion. Now that it's broken you'd swear it was going to fall off me. I want the OH to come home and mind me. My own stupidity is trivial, right? :(

Go on, what shoes were they?

And more importantly, will you wear them again anyway?

I'm not sure which shoes actually did the damage, it was just high shoes that put too much pressure on that part of my foot. And I wore heels to the doctor, and wore heels to have staples removed after an ankle op so I probably will keep wearing them. Because I am clearly a simpleton.

    People who ask
"Would you like a scon with your coffee"
    "A what?
    "A scon,,"
    "WTF is a scon?"
    "A scon, with some butter.."
"Oh, now I see, you mean a scone. NO"

Was in a hurry yesterday and needed to get petrol on my way and pulled into my usual petrol station. Every pump was busy apart from the one nearest to me and just as I was pulling in the guy in front of me, having paid for his fill-up, was returning to his brand-new Land Rover (not stereotyping, I swear :D). As another car had pulled in to queue behind me, naturally enough I expected the jeep guy to move off so I could occupy his pump and the car behind me use the one I was currently in, more convienent and doesn't cause delays etc. However, said jeep guy spent about two or three minutes on his phone oblivious to the two increasingly more frustrated drivers behind him. Took the van behind me to beep his horn to get him moving (I'm more of a keyboard warrior than a real-life aggressor :D)

So yeah. Being held up in queues is bad enough. Being held up by inconsiderate drivers at a petrol pump when already running late for an appointment is a lot worse.

Bank holiday weekends tend to bring the worst jack-daw drivers to my locality unfortunately :(

Trivial to some, not to me - someone at work helping themselves to my jam. It's expensive (for jam) and no I don't keep it in the fridge so that others can have it, it's there out of necessity. So now I have to be that person who labels their food. I didn't want to be that person, but it's been there just 24 hours

On the subject of old people, why do they have that old person voice. Do they get it at a certain age. Did they sound like that in their 20's?

Your voice is constantly changing. A 10 year old sounds different to a 20 year old, a 20 year old different to a 40 year old, a 40 year old different to a 60 year old, and a 60 year old different to a 80 year old.... and so on. The vocal chords and that whole area physically change as you age, just like every other part of the body, leading to a different sound being produced.

A headline I read this morning:

    'Suarez ban is too excessive'

Surely excessive on it's own covers the 'too' part?
    It's like saying very impossible.

Same goes for people who say "Hence why".

Eh, the "why" is a given, dudes.

Oh you know, the usual awkward sh1t imposed on me by the gods that be - My crush needed help opening a door (her hands were full) and I happend to be standing at the door but I had no pass. She was all like, "oh here, you can use mine" - I froze in fear when I realised that hers was hanging around her neck.... So I had to be cool while I took the card without molesting her (it's hanging right there ffs there is no way to avoid physical contact without using one of those pastry forks from the bread counter) so I managed that and then realised the access point is really quite low so we had to do this mutual bend towards it, her with her full hands, me basically leading her by her card like a dog while I tried not to throttle her. And then when I did manage to get the door open, I was on the wrong side so I had to hold it open with an outstretched arm while she ducked under...and I completely forgot to let go of the badge :(

It will take me a week to recover :(

Wait, I'm confused. I thought you were a girl? ?????

It's complicated. For the purposes of posting here, she is refracted into a prism and temporarily contained so she can interface with the crude machine.
