i would focus on resolving the stomach issues so or do you think it would be a good idea to avoid the foods that tend to cause stomach issues e.g. wheat?

Also maybe eat real food after the workout so?

My stomach isn't great most of the time, so it can be a little off after having a shake with milk/water.

However, I've never had an issue when blending something in with it, usually fruit or peanut butter.

Edit: you asked about a bar. +1 for quest bars, or just make a batch of something yourself and refrigerate them.

This. Too many flavours to mention - bound to something you would enjoy

Yeah got a couple of boxes of them yesterday for the first time. Will hopefully keep me away from the vending machine in work :pac:

Quest bars great as bar as protein bars go but it's not a good plan for post work out nutrition.

"Which protein bar should I eat?" is the wrong question here imo.
There are far better solutions to getting in late from the gym

If your problem with protein shakes is because of a dairy intolerance then a good shake would be Pulsin pea protein.

Picked up Trek Protein bars in a local shop which are delicious but have done no research as to how good they are for you
