Why dont 99s cost 99c

    i bought my little brother an ice cream today a 99 and she charged me 1.50

    i remember when 99s cost 99c

    the marketing writes itself with that one

    and to buy a separate flake was 60c :eek:

    Come up to Louth yan wan, our 99's are €1.50 and you get a free bag of weed from the ice-cream van :)

    Originally they cost 9 groats and 9 tuppence. It was just a freak coincidence when we moved to metric that it worked out as 99p

    Because 99 is the product code for the flakes and the name doesn't reflect the cost.?
    Does a BMW 520 cost 520 euro?

    A 99 off my ice cream van has sprinkles and no flake.. Doesn't make any sense I know, I'm not sure how much it costs but I do know a boat is €3!!!!

    Our local ice-cream van charges €2.50 for a 99 - and if he reads this thread he might increase that to €2.99.
