I am just suprised as I was going to set up a SEPA payment from PTSB to an italian account, the italian account was not accepted. I contacted PTSB and I was told the italian bank did not sign for the SEPA. I am just concerned as the italian bank is Unicredit S.p.A.
I am wondering whether PTSB is not telling the truth. Anybody with similar experience?

Do you have a BIC and IBAN for the account? It's possible that a particular branch may not be SEPA reachable. You could validate the IBAN here, and search for the BIC here

Hi,

Thanks for those links.The IBAN and Swift code was given and proved to be correct.
PTSB said it would cost €31 to send a swift payment instead of the SEPA payment
Any other alternatives?

Just back from the bank

In some cases, we need to set up a new bank account at our branch
It wasnt difficult for them, and it costs 50 cents
If the bank wasnt in the EU, to send a swift payment would have cost €31.50
