Why do people always point out "Yeah but the other side blah blah" as if that somehow excused certain actions? Just because certain elements of the other side would do the same, given half a chance, doesn't in any way excuse the actions of the Israeli army and administration.

    As for this:

Who's falling for propaganda? Half of us here are just looking at the figures. The 'bad guys' on one side murdered a few people, the 'bad guys' on the other side murdered almost a thousand. And as seems to be the case now, they murdered almost a thousand based on faulty information and then are surprised when their enemy fires back?

Propaganda is what those on the pro-Israeli-offensive side are being blinded by.

And when the Israelis say they had no choice, they're liars. There is a choice not to fire.

Anyone that is justifying Israelis actions in this conflict is a sick and delusional person. This is the exact same as people justifying the Nazis actions in the 40's.

Don't fall for the propaganda, there are no "good guys" in charge on either side. I really don't get why people in this country are taking one side. No, that's not a request for someone to dump a mass of text and links here, I've probably read them already.

I haven't fallen for any propaganda, it's just anybody with two functioning eyes can see the atrocities being committed by the Jews.

    The Israeli government you mean.

I know a few Jewish people from America and Israel, and they're appalled by whats going on in Gaza.

I would have to say that I can quite often let news like this get in on me - a range of emotions from absolute outrage, to empathy, sadness......but the one thing I am feeling more than most is absolute hoplessness for those poor people who have suffered and continue to suffer so much.

I'm at a loss to explain how a so called modern democracy can inflict so much suffering on a defenceless people but what is worse in this day and age is that the modern world can sit back and allow it to happen.

I hope and pray that justice eventually comes to those who deserve it - both the victims and the perpetrators of this carnage.

Atrocities committed by the government yes, but supported by many a Jew, as seen from the perverse joy they have shown on twitter over the attacks, and also the picture of them 'enjoying' the bombing of Gaza whilst observing from a hillside in Israel. While sitting on deck-chairs. Eating popcorn. Sick, sick people!

I'm the exact same. One thing I've noticed when trying to bring up the topic of Gaza in work or with friends that many people are really absorbed in their own lives and don't give a **** about the situation in Gaza. Sad but true.

It's seems it's very easy to slip from "Israeli" to "Jew" for many people in this thread.
Not all Jews are Israeli and not all Israelis are Jews.

Get it right before you start painting stars on doors*

*and speaking of painting stars on doors. Remember when you all got upset over that ISIS painted the Arabic letter for Nazarene on doors in Mosul to mark who would be killed unless they left?
    Or maybe no-one cared..

Don't blame all Jews for this. That's anti-semitism, and is just as disgusting as the anti-muslim/anti-Palestinian sentiment expressed by the Israeli officials.

It is not the fault of all Jews that some people who happen to be Jews are commiting atrocities.

I get that and don't get it at the same time. I can sometimes understand how someone never heard about something horrible like the Central African Republic. It's obscure and hugely under reported.

But bombing schools in gaza is all over the news and people still don't give a fcuk.

I'm sure they are supported by others, however, I have never seen a people take such joy in the suffering of others as I have from the Jewish people who pulled up a seat on a hillside to watch other people being killed by missiles. That's just pain wrong to me!

There are people on both sides up north who would take great pleasure in seeing something bad happen to the oppositions neighbourhood.

You don't see pictures on twitter of them pulling up a chair to enjoy the show though?

    They would if they could.

There's a certain subset of people in every conflict who take pleasure in inflicting/viewing pain.

The Jew. Look at him, that disgusting creature. All twisted and vile, ready to take our children.

The Jew. Murderous land grabber. Hell bent on wiping out the Palestinian people.

This is pretty much what this thread is descending to.

It pretty much sums up the Israeli Government and IDF though.

For those who claimed earlier in the thread that Israel only targets specific buildings and does not bomb streets/blocks. Maybe you could explain the picture in this article?

    The conflict in a nutshell.

I can't imagine this happening to my home. The guy showed so much restraint in a situation I would have been engulfed in anger. I guess the notion of fighting back and getting bombed as a result is a pretty strong deterrent.

I'm a fan of Norman Finkelstein. There are a ton of his videos on Youtube. Here is a great one.

After your extreme racist outburst earlier, it's surprising that you're still allowed to post in this thread let alone boards.
Why don't you remind us all again what you called all Arab people.

I haven't seen many people here blame all Jews. This seems to be a common retort from the pro-child murderers. Call people condemning murders anti-Semitic while you're at it. Might as well let it all out.

The only people turning this into a Jew argument is those supporting the Israeli Murder Forces actions. A pathetic, but common, tactic to deflect.

From what I saw on Sky earlier,it looked like Israel decided to empty their bomb/artillery stockpile on Gaza right up to the ceasefire deadline.Total wanton distruction.Absolutely sickening.

I would love to see the Palestinians smuggle a decent sized bomb from somewhere and blow up a few hundred IDF Soldiers.

That's terrible on so many levels. The Palestinians only hope is to disarm the Israeli army through non violence. a peaceful mass civil rights movement would give the right wing warmongers on both sides nowhere to hide.

It would be extremely difficult, but its their only hope

It's something that you see from the extreme of both sides.

the jew... the arab.... they're different. they don't have the same culture as us. they don't have the same respect for life as us. they are raised to hate us. etc...
It dehumanises the opposition and makes it easier to hurt them.
