Well in 1993, when the Oslo accord was signed, far from stopping building of settlements in the West Bank and Gaza, Israel rapidly ramped up settlement building.

The only people I see spouting hatred and vitriol here and on other threads are from those sympathetic to what the IDF and Israeli government class as acceptable behaviour - DNA based weapons, bombing the Palestinians out of existence etc etc...a human element to what the IDF are doing? maybe in your mind but certainly not in mine. blowing kids up on a beach , shelling a hospital to name but two atrocities carried out from those wonderful outstanding humanitarians in the IDF. since this began and since I've started engaging and listening to people like yourself lots of things have amazed me . and my eyes have been opened to a number of things. and no as long as the Israeli government continue to steal their neighbours land, dehumanise and kill them in what can only be described as an open air prison camp I can't see how they can described as being like us in the west. they aren't.

Hamas has not stopped firing rockets, but do you care to make a comment on the statistics in the linked site:

Straight from the mouth of the Israeli Ambassador on Newstalk around 15 minutes ago when asked about the slaughter of civilians including children "We killed them, but it was Hamas who murdered them". Ivan Yates called him on it and he said it was the fault of Hamas because they keep firing rockets.

He kept going back to saying "we have a right to defend ourselves from these rockets" which is true.... it's why they have a missile defence system. What they're doing isn't defence, it out and out murder.
