Patrice Evra has left #mufc to join Juventus. Everyone at the club would like to thank him for his many years of excellent service.

I would edit your last post and sig, and only give out the code to the paid league to people once you get their money from paypal. Might just save you a bit of hassle of some people joining the league who don't actually pay. Just a thought anyway

Kinda sad to see Evra leave. Fair enough he wasn't at his best last season but no one can fault him for trying his best. He loved the club and should always be looked upon as a United great. Wish him all the best and thank him for some great memories!

My source for the Hummels deal is that more than the usual few tabloids are talking about it this morning. I will accept apologies when the deal is announced on the official website.

What do we get when it isn't announced?

While I am sorry to see Evra go due to his past, his present form had me up the walls, and I am actually happy for next season he is gone.

Hopefully it's confirmed now cause someone else is coming soon :P

Evra leaving is awful news, i had hoped he would stay for one more year. people on here give him a world of abuse that the vast majority of it was unwarranted.

also leaves us with only 5 defenders right now plus the young lads - can see 2, if not 3 defenders coming in which is worrying in terms of stability.we are now faced with having to sign a second left back this summer, which makes the decision to sell buttner really silly now.

its such a shame that Rio, Giggs, Evra and Vidic all bowed out after our worst season in 25 years, they deserved better :(

With regards finding a LB cover I can see Vermalen coming in to play CB and offer cover for LB if needed

5 defenders have now left the club since January, leaving 4 who are injury proned and a 19 year old who has just signed. Evra, Rio and Vidic all left for a combined total of €2million and theres plenty of life left in all 3, especially Vidic and Evra. two of them should have been kept to oversee the transition.

really baffling to set this let happen like this, its a massive risk to change so much defenders at once, especially considering that the replacements are not that good and defending was not our big problem last year.

You will accept apologies for what give some details of the deal so. When will he be signed and what is the fee?

Evra was a liability for two years. Rio was on his last legs. Neither should have been getting game time next season given our reduced number of games. I can see the case for keeping Vidic, but it was absolutely the right call to move Rio and Evra on; their time's were come and gone at United, and keeping their wages on the books for "experience" would have been nonsensical IMO.

There is a poster in the soccer forum with a sig saying if we think Hummels is coming to us, our opinion should be striken.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,775 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Daley Blind, is the person I see coming in, talented and multi-purpose.

glad to see Evra gone. Should have gone before the start of last season.

A great player and character for the club but overstayed his welcome in the end. A liability the last two seasons or so.

    Onwards and upwards.

Now for Juventus to sell us a player, since we can do business.

Sad to see Evra go but was a liability over the last two seasons. I say we will see a couple of players signed and the most likely so far is Daley Blind. I think Hummels is a pipe dream to be honest.
