Spent two hours finishing off polishing the rear wheel of my bike, started off by sanding it with sandpaper, then worked up to the fine stuff, then finished off with autosol and then a wax protector. Not looking too shabby now either, great sense of achievement when you do it yourself :)

Also this arrived in the post this morning, it'll be the third seat I have for the Rocket since I bought it, including the stock one. Meant to be the comfiest one, as its for touring. It'll be the swan song for the bike if its not !! Not being picky but if I can't sit on the bike for longer than an hour then its useless :(

I did indeed, she loves it. It pushes me slightly more forward but after an hour driving this evening on the motorways, some ****ty back roads and both of us loved it. Should have bought it first time around.

Today i finally installed Ivans FCE.... what a change. It completely transformed my bike... and the mid power... omg..1..2...3...power wheelie... the bike is now smooth as butter.

FCE fuel cut eliminator.. fz1 suffers from horrible trottle response in between 4-6k/rpm... and this little magic box does the trick and ads as much as 10hp in the midrange....
2 hours of work.. but i am satisfied.

    A lot of stuff

Was down at John o gradys. First run a irridium plug went bad, still made 103 hp.
While we were there found a crash bung gone. Also still not happy with the front end.

So ordered New Bungs. Went to fit and discovered a thread still in there. Broke a screw extractor in it. Eventually got that out. Drilled it out and had to pay 45 Euro for a m10 fine tap.

Went to put on the matching bung and it snapped off with very little pressure. So this side was rectified much faster.

Fitted New twin electrode plugs instead of irridium (sick of changing irridium ones)

Changed the head bearings. New ones tightened at the torques you expect.

Changed the oil in damper for 2.5w
I want light as possible action.

Just waiting on mirrors to come.

Feels very good though. Front feels very good.

Spend half day polishing my lady (Moly - i decided to name her) and then she got lovely coat with ACF50..

for everyone who wonders its a product that was used for planes/helis to remove or avoid corrosion/rust... amazing what this little thing can do. Bottle.cost cca 20e but the outcome is superb.. it can be used on all cables/electronics under seat as well... honestly good stuff.

Put on the yoke protector, fuel cap cover, waterproof 12v socket + RAM mount.

Also put on some new Aprilia tuono mirrors as the stock ones caused a lot of buffeting.

Looking double well m8....Mick will be jealous!

I put proper size mirrors on the gsxr instead of the shortly plastic ones so it would fit through the door.

You can see so much more and steady at speed too

good lad ... set of bi-xenons would make the biggest difference... about 50e delivered .... easy to install... 6000k color ... had them loved them

the plug and play... not the ones / old style that you have to hook up to battery and i dont know where else... the new1s are just plug and play with all included.. as well as fuse inside... 5 min job.. the company who makes them in UK is HAWK.. they do alarms as well.... i got single ballast...of them for 27e... but they do double as well

Yeah man i had looked into a HID conversion like that. Not expensive at all for the type you mentioned.

With the long bright evenings i didnt bother doing it at the moment. But once the days start getting shorter i will absolutely be changing.

Ya can't get flat black in either the yoke protector or cap cover. It's the carbon look or nothing

Collected my top box brackets from Tallaght Powder Coating. Cost next to nothing to get done properly and look ten times better. Hats off to the guys in there, good service at a good price.

Out of interest I asked how much a wheels would cost to be powder coated, €80 each plus vat. Seems pretty reasonable to me!

Granted they do a good job at a reasonable rate.

Just make sure they get the colour right first time.

Mine had to be redone, at their expense I might add, despite me providing an official Yamaha colour flash as a reference point
