Just for starters, making a decision based on forged planning objections,
No they didn't, they brought them to the attention of the Gardai, which is all they could do. If you have proof that they didn't bring them to the attention of the garda then please post it or stop using it as 'evidence' of your claims.
while agreeing with the promoter during their meetings that he had met all their requirements, and giving no indication whatsoever there was any problem, or any changes that should be made.

You can also desist from this accusation as we have no proof either way that this was the case.
I am sure when they come in front of the Dail committee that the DCC will prove it though.

They did not know about the forgeries until they sent receipts to people who then said they had not signed submissions; this did not cancel the non-forged submissions.

There is no proof that the promoter was told any such thing, and one of the requirements is a public consultation process which neither the promoter nor DCC can control.

    Oh but there is . . .

I'd believe aiken over the already proven corrupt liars that are DCC anyday.

"He has told Cork's Red FM that he was "shafted" by Dublin City Council.
He said: "It was never flagged to me that anybody said 'you have got a serious problem here', and I stand over that.
"I still think I was shafted by Dublin City Council. I had the licence application in 14 weeks before."
The promoter said he was very careful with the application.
He said: "We went through it meticulously, every detail that they wanted was there.
"If they had known that (there were problems with the application), they could have turned round and said 'this ain't gonna fly', and for them to claim that they did tell me that is ludicrous.
"I would never have run with it then."

I'll gladly spend my money abroad now instead thanks . . .

Wow, what a threat...take it out on the whole country why don't you? The sillyness indicator has just burst.

Your belief does not prove anything. (Except for your unwillingness to accept facts.)

As for Aiken, to quote Mandy Rice Davies, "he would say that, wouldn't he?"

would you not head West, we in rural Ireland really need the money.

If you have a valid and legal ticket, the only person stopping you spending your money is Brooks.

The conclusions of the planning tribunal are not a belief.

Whereas your going to have to prove Aiken is lying.

As I'm now going to enjoy spending my money seeing him a country with a honest planning process instead, hardly.

He is lying, that promoting 5 nights at Croke Park after they had used up their allocated 3 nights, was going to be plain sailing. The evidence that they where problematic from the get go is all there.

Do you really not understand that the Planning Tribunal could not have found DCC corrupt in this case as it was held in the past? Are you arguing that we should bend time and space as well as planning regulations to suit a singer who is refusing to compromise?

And actually Aiken will have to prove that the DCC assured him his application was going to be successful.

As your defaming Aiken here, I'm sure his solicitors would be interested in this post.

Me, I prefer to rely on the already proven conclusions of the planning tribunal.

DCC has a proven track record of telling lies and being dishonest. Aiken has not and is entitled to his good name.

Oh, must have missed that announcement, have they moved the gigs to rural Ireland?

Won't be 'county Dublin' though at this stage.

    Where is the defamation?

there's a lot of new Garth Brooks fans out there since he stood up to the political scum of Ireland.

    I highly doubt that.
Even former fans are sick to the teeth of him at this stage.
If anything, he lost fans over this

You just posted above that Aiken is lying. Calling someone a liar in public without proof is defaming their character, you might want to withdraw it before you get yourself and boards.ie in expensive water.

Right, let's never allow the standard of public service in Ireland to improve- let's insist they remain dishonest so we can have a good old pointless complaint whenever they do something we don't like.

No, I didn't, but I forgave you that one, as you're under a lot of stress at the moment.

He said he thought the process would be plain sailing...he is lying about that because the controversy was large and very vocal from the get go.

Solicitors, please PM me, I am more than willing to prove that the internet was awash with debate about this from the start and Aiken and Croke Park where well aware of residents objections and indications that they where prepared to go to court.

If it was 5 nights of stabbings and/or slane girls there would be no problem.

Aiken is spoofer and he got his cummuppence, actually Jim is that you..... Peter Aiken.
Anyway Jim, Aiken is paddling up a creek without an oar, the planning system is working fine since they took political interference out of the equation. And by ths looks of it, his buddy Brooks ain't going to bail him out. Just delaying the inevitable, go and tell TM to start the refund process and above all LEARN a lesson, work with the system, engage all parties. No cowboy tactics.

You might be happy to get yourself involved in a defamation case, I don't think boards will be backing you or facilitating it.
