The same problem with Click and Collect as with Home Delivery; your groceries are being selected off the shelf by staff who don't give a damn what condition the food is in.

When we used the delivery service we consistently received rotten fruit and veg, short dated dairy products, inappropriate substitutions , raw meat packed in beside fruit etc. Just really careless stuff. Much as I hate Tesco, I'd rather go to the store and pick my own groceries.

Find the delivery service good with me but dates would be my bugbear. I suppose they pick the first thing they see on the shelf whereas I'd search for stuff like meats with the furthest dates on them.

I always put "long expiry date "in the comments box for perishables and it has always worked

I actually also have it as a general request and have had no issues with dates

Picked up a Sony PlayStation 3 Blu Ray Remote Control for €1 in Coonagh, Limerick the other day. I don't even have a PS3 anymore! I gave it to a mate in work who bought one recently.

Chopped and shaped chicken vs. 100% chicken breast. I think I'd go nuts and buy the expensive pack...
    That and 42 > 20 :D

I just bought a 500ml jar of KTC coconut oil in Tesco Clarehall for €1.99. I've wanted to try it for ages but never saw it cheaper than around €5. It seems to get good enough reviews too.

Gonna give this a whirl when I finish with a dearer version. It's a great price!

They have it in Tesco Clearwater Finglas too.

Just to let you know ,it has been a lot cheaper than 5 Euro in the past . If you search the Chinese stores around the city centre you can pick it up for 3 euro , 3.20 (Asian store Drury Street) , 3.60 (Asian store at Jervis Luas) etc

However 1.99 is a fantastic price. I expect Tesco to bump up the price once it becomes an established product for them. Thats what they do . every little squeeze helps them :)

with thanks to CH30H, I picked up some of the uncle bens high fibre rice in Tescos Balbriggan this evening. mine was the 500g box and cost 74c (there were boxes of it on regular rice shelf and boxes on the clearance shelf near the crisps)

I also saw plenty of Ragu Sauce jars for 59c and 63c (depending on flavour) in the clearance section also

In tescos balbriggan today I also bought some baby moisturiser for myself (baby section - I have sensitive skin so I like this aisle), price €1.50 it's really nice.

Earth Friendly Baby Soothing Chamomile Body Lotion - 1 x 250ml

Think I got a bargain as it's €6.59 in boots, the lavender one is also €1.50 but I don't like lavender

I tried Clearwater this afternoon. No joy on the Callaway balls, sign on the shelf alright, but none there.

Picked up these and checked price though. Came up at €5.00 but shelf price was €24.99. 36 balls for a fiver...sure I'll give it a whirl. They are sealed so couldn't open to check tip I got home. Took a few out and.......balls are awful, but I'll use them practising. Few more packs if anyone is interested, but I would be buying them again....grand for a beginner.

If anyone spots the Callaway ones anywhere though, please let me know.

I would rate them pretty equal. The tesco ones are 55% chicken, the birds eye are 50%.

Not sure what your "versus" thing is about there, both birds eye and tesco dippers are simlarly made from chopped & shaped 100% chicken breast.

Yep, 100% roast chicken always beats chicken dippers or similar! Dippers are fine but a bit bland for me, too expensive at normal price compared to €5/6 for a medium chicken which has far more flavour and versatility.

Where did you find Tesco dippers are made from 100% breast?
