There are five different types of speed limits on roads in Ireland, Obey the SIGNS

Don't be a dick to other road users, drive with due care and consideration, and don't get angry and drive aggressively to get passed someone who is being a dick of a driver.

Also, remember, it's summer, which means there are hundreds more motorcycles on the road now that the fair weather bikers come out to play, watch your blind spots when taking off or changing position, even in high density traffic, you never know if someone is filtering between cars.

Pump all your tyres to the right pressure, essential when we have rain after a few nice days and the roads are greasy.  I found out the hard way.

It's better to be 5 minutes late then to never arrive at all.

    Arrive alive.

Dont sit in the middle lane of the motorway if there is no traffic in the inside lane.

Watch out for other drivers, you may be following the speed limit and obeying all the rules and someone else may crash into you. So always be vigilant and aware of others around you. Don't focus only on the car in front of you but use your mirrors and keep an eye out on side streets so you are always aware what is around you and you won't be caught off guard.

Always signal when pulling off/turning and don't forget to check your blind spot!
Be courteous and don't be ignorant towards/forget other road users especially pedestrians and cyclists.

Keep both hands on the steering wheel at all times. You never know when you might get a blow out or hit a bad pothole or mud.

Use your indicators so frustrating trying to second guess other drivers.

Check your tyre pressure regularly (every second week) - for safer driving and fuel efficiency.

Always give yourself plenty of time. If your journey is expected to take 60 minutes, give yourself 75.
