Much has been made of the fact that the DCC decision cannot be appealed. What is the point, therefore, in seeking an injunction? Oh, I see now - KER CHING! It's a grubby attempt to get money out of the promoter or artist, doesn't matter which, as long as someone comes up with the moolah to buy off the injunction proceedings. As usual when Irish people resort to the courts - it's all about the money.
And Aiken may yet come to regret his brinkmanship in advising Brooks to go the "five concerts or none" route. If DCC doesn't blink somebody is likely to end up with egg on their face.

Its a bit of a leap to assume that this injunction is just to get money from the promoters?
From what I see it is to prevent the 3 licenced concerts from proceeding....

George Hook had his usual American slot this evening and asked his correspondent how the story was going down over there. He said they don't even talk about Garth Brooks over there anymore, never mind what's happening with him in another country.

That's. What. I've. Been. Trying. To. TELL. Y'all.

Aside from releasing some new covers last December, he has not put out ANY new material since he retired to raise his daughters 15 years ago. He also has not toured in that period, and in the music industry, you don't get a lot of press when all you're doing is a few weekends in Las Vegas for a few years.

Another Garth Brooks hater with nothing better to do.

    Ha ha, you're gas.

Clearly this is world news and bigger than the moon landings.

I mean if you randomly choose any town in the world and check their news site you can see that.
I have randomly selected Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tulsa just happens to be Garths home town, but lets ignore that.
Do ya know what? There is a Garth story on the front page. Its breaking news from this morning.

    http://m.newson6.com/Story.aspx?story=25955864&catId=112042

Hang on, what's goin on Y'all? They are reporting about the potential announcement of the world tour and no mention of Croakgate!

Farewell....I'm done posting here. It's been fun though. I'll just sit back and wait to see what happens, but I am wasting my time and your time by posting.

Either the 5 shows will be cancelled, in which case this whole debacle was a waste of time and effort, or they'll go ahead, and the lot on this board will have a massive freak out over the next 3 weeks.

Honestly though, it was entertaining and enlightening all the way around.

At this time it looks like it would be cheaper for him to abandon Ireland altogether. So you just might get your wish.

So before you leave, why were you advocating riots in croke park?

The true fans can make a trip to the USA instead of speading their croker fund in their communities.

The nearest is the Nuclear Powered Astute of the Astute class maritime contributions to joint operations and is fully operational since May this year.

I'll give Cameron a call for you!

You're referencing Michael Graham as a credible source of information? The guy that famously said he'd love to see the Clinton's get shot, is convinced that climate change is a myth and that Obama is basically the anti-christ...

It was said in the Six-One report as well that they are still in the States but under started orders awaiting the order to go.

Maybe they are waiting for a weather report from the monitoring station in Mayo before commencing the invasion. . Meanwhile the enemy are unsure if the ship will land at Dublin Port or Rosslare. Wake Herr Burke and see will he permit two extra divisions to be brought in from the Eastern Front

I went into Ballina earlier on, and was greeted by lights announcing a Garth Brooks Tribute on in the Ballina Hotel tonight, and warning of traffic disruption.

Most locals have no problem with the proposed concerts going ahead. The head of the 'residents association' isn't even from the area.

I ask myself "What would Don Corleone do?"

Indeed, and whilst I disagreed with a Bertie Bowl, Ireland needs a massive multi sporting complex and concert venue and convention centre outside the main metropolises.

FFS you can't get a hen house built in rural Ireland without an Action Group being formed against it. The Croke Park Resident whingers are only in the tuppenny place compared to rural Ireland
