What's the difference between the small double headboard (€106) & double headboard (€118)?

Have any of you received this yet? If so, what is the quality like for both the bed and the mattress?

    Thanks.

Base comes in 2 sections. Draws are on similar basis as draws in dressing tables, rollers and guide rail. Base sections are basic wooden boxes covered with cloth/material. Not the type you would jump on. For €200 what could you expect. Each section has 4 roller feet to be inserted, decent quality. The 2 sections are joined together by 2 hardish plastic clips underneath. Unusual to me, but are adequate. The mattress is fine, it is more medium to firm than firm. Personally, it would be ideal for a teenager or a woman. With a large man it could eventually sag after a few years of sleeping on it., but again what could you expect for €200.

    How did you contact them?

They are normally quick to respond via. Twitter

Still waiting! It can't come quick enough, current bed giving back & neck pain!

Mine was due to be delivered tomorrow but I got a call on Wednesday saying I won't have until Monday 7th. But unfortunate as I had plans to move the furniture tonight to make room. Hope it will be worth the wait.

Don't depend on these cheap Airsprung beds to solve your back problems cos they won't. I was advised by the shop to buy a better bed but that was all the budget that I had at the time. They are okay for a spare room for occasional use but not every night use. I have since asked the shop where I bought mine if I could exchange it for a bed with a €100 higher price and they have agreed. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the mattress is only a budget type one with fillings only on one side but then what do you expect for less than €200

Arrived today. Quality really is not great, one of the drawers does not even sit in properly! It just seems really cheaply made. Mattress is pretty hard and thin. The fact Argos are claiming it was €1224.99 is beyond ridiculous, they are pushing it at €189.99 even!! If we had of seen it before paying for it we wouldn't have bothered!:(

The shop (bigmickey.ie) where I bought mine warned me in advance to spend a bit more and buy a better quality bed but I did'nt listen. I have since asked them to exchange it for me and they did. They replaced it last night for " The Hilton " for €349 Its a 30cm thick mattress. The delivery driver was very helpful too. He brought it upsatairs for us. If you have not opened it you can ask Argos to take it back and issue a full refund. AS far as I am aware they have to honour this as its a long distance selling contract.

I suppose we should not skimp on the price of a bed as you spend so much time in it.

I agree completely, no way could it ever have been over €1200, you get what you pay for tbh. The base was probably made for €20 and the matress is on the firm side. Will do for now as we needed a new bed on a budget but will definately be upgrading in the future. Buyer beware......

Mine was due to arrive today but didn't appear. No phone call, no e-mail, nothing. I had cleared the room and waited in all day so I'm going to ring tomorrow and cancel, fcuk them.

Mine arrived yesterday but I refused delivery and sent it back. Very poor quality and that was only the mattress. Never even looked at the base. Certainly not a bed worth €1200 +. Not sure how the refund works but I must be in a much better position than if I had accepted it and then tried to send it back. Never buying a bed again without testing it first and I currently need to buy 3 new beds.

not too worried as this is going to be used as a spare bed, and we have a matress topper that we will be using on it

Agree 100%, I did it once but never again, might be ok if you only want a guest bed.

    +1.

If it was a bed for ourselves, I'd be spending significantly more than this on the mattress alone. But it'll be grand for the doghouse....I mean, the spare room!

I wish I had refused delivery. Definitely not a quality bed and would never have been worth 1200. Can I insist on them proving it was for sale at that price? Does anyone know if I have any chance to return it. The drawers are very dodgy. I I have unpacked it but it has not been slept in. We planned for a teenager but I doubt it would last a year!

I think when it comes to a bed with the packaging open Argos won't want to know. If it was unopened then I think there would not be a problem. I bought my Airsprung bed from a small company in Longford, bigmickey.ie. It was a little over an hour of a drive but I'm glad now that I did because when I asked if I could exchange it they treated me really well. I know people would not travel that far for a bed but in my case I'm am glad I did.

I've had 3 beds off him. The second and third I just ordered over the phone. :)
