I wonder who would be liable to any damage caused to the car.

    That's for android users: https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=cosydvr&fdid=com.example.CosyDVR

    CosyDVR
Video recording (DVR) software for in-car use

DVR software kit designed for in-car use:

Works in background as a service
Works even when the keyboard is locked
    Autostart recording after program launch
    Autoremove old files
FLASH button for night recordings (if device supports)
GPS data is recorded into subtitle files *.srt
Separate *.gpx file for upload to the OpenStreetMap.org
GPS data is shown on the screen
Night mode for better video under low light condition
Different focus modes (infinity, auto, continuous video, macro)
    Zoooming in/out with gestures
    Refocus on screen tap
Exit function is protected with long click to avoid accedental click
Configurable options (video size, bitrate, maxtemp and minfree space, fragment time etc.)
Notification area clickable icon for bringing app to front

This software might not work with all devices.

I'd imagine the farmer. Are you not suppose to call the cops and get them to tow it?.

I think you're allowed to make a reasonable attempt to move it yourself, I presume this would mean carefully using appropriate equipment, not a tractor with a pair of forks...

It's a wonder he hadn't just push the prongs through the side glass and lift it up that way!! :pac:

They did have a pallet on the forks so any damage would be limited.

You can buy an OBD-II bluetooth adapter for about 20 quid from ebay that will hook into your cars diagnostics (most cars from 96 onwards will have this port) and then hook that up to an app on your phone to record braking effort, speed, location etc

What kind of plonker parks their car blaocking access and doesn't at least leave a note on the dash with contact information?

Dear dear me! the naivety off some posters to a simple straight forward video clip, if you knew this particular junction you would know, that you can not make your way and get 'stuck' in the middle off said junction unless you enter illegally... From the stop line to the right turn literally takes 2 secs, if you know your about to lose your green light, which most local people do, well then most people speed up and make it from the stop line to the right turn in 1 sec.... So without a shadow of a doubt those two cars entered the junction illegally. The only reason my light was amber as I went through was because I suspected these guys would possibly make a dash for it. I certainly wasn't going to stop dead as it flipped into amber, it wouldn't have been safe to do so, my mind and eyes where occupied with said drivers. Anyway I'd say that second driver has learned his lesson(after all we all make mistakes)....
Your light went amber at 21 secs. Both right turners were well past their stop line (which is a good distance back from the junction) at that point - if you can't see this you need your eyes tested. Now assuming that the light turns amber for traffic in both directions at the same time then what does that mean. It means that they had a Green light when they crossed their stop line while you had an Amber light when you crossed your stop line.

I don't care what "local people normally do" or if you think I'm naïve as it is very clear to me what happened here.

Also, you couldn't stop for the amber because your "mind and eyes where occupied with said drivers" Laughable excuse.

The good thing is at least you didn't speed up approaching a green light unlike this bad driver.

Excuse you... the light to turn right was red for that car that... turned right.

I can't see what light the other driver had, ok lets say they had a red light for the right turn as opposed to a solid green with no arrow. Rubbish driving from them but also rubbish driving on your part. Speeding up to "make" a green light? Try that one in your driving test and see how you get on. Ever hear of the term proceed with caution

Funny how people are posting videos to criticise others when the videos clearly show their own bad driving as well.

We get this every single year in fishing season. They park in the gateway and head off for a few hours.

Nope. No vertical/portrait video is worthy of nomination IMHO.

And possibly become complicit in damaging the car? I think he was better off staying where he was though it would have been nice if he was close enough to record the conversation between the farmer and the driver. That would have been interesting.

The tractor lifting the car. I thought the tractor went to extraordinary lengths to move the offending vehicle.

Why not just sling the axle and drag it?

At worst case a flat spot on a tyre or two and it would have taken ten seconds. And he had the sling ~ so maybe he tried that but I can't see that failing for a puny car.

I've calculated that he'd have milked a heard of cattle, cut a field of silage or harvested a field of crops in the time he wasted trying to be delicate.

The same sort of people that park infront of gateways, disabled spots, up on footpaths etc ;)

Who leaves notes when they park in any of the above?

An entire forest would be needed to make the paper for all the notes...

That car parking is awesome - not one scratch.
Parked against the traffic tough, it will be difficult to leave the spot.

If it's the former one, then this dashcam would need to have an option to start recording 9 seconds before shock is detected. Brilliant - I want one like that.
