Zidane headbutted an Italian and was hailed a hero. Suarez allegedly bit an Italian...there should be a similar reaction.

Suarez is my hero!! Love the little chomper

Nobody is defending Suarez, I just find it funny that people wouldn't be half as bothered if it was a loaf.

I think it is quite clear that Luis only bit Chiellini because he wants to stay at the club and was getting forced to move to Spain by the in-laws. Now Barca or Real won't wanna go near him and he has his excuse for his missus and her family. Excellent tactical move by Suarez.

Good point, he did Chielini a favour really. Studs up his leg could have put him out of the next game but a bite on the shoulder only needs a plaster.

Is it even a real offence?

    Bahahaha

Sell him and get someone in ho won't be as controversial. It's that simple according to some.

The tiny little fly in the ointment is the fact that we wouldn't get anyone near as good.

Learning that Suarez cheated on his wife or something like that would affect my opinion of him far more than these outbursts of his.

The likes Giggs and Giroud would be in the "lowest of low list" for their carry on. This wouldn't wouldn't bother me at all once he gets away without any domestic hassle.

All this has done is made me like him more :D:D:D :pac:

Haven't read back over the last few pages but I'm going to assume I'm not the only Liverpool fan thinking this is a pretty good scenario.

I wouldn't be anticipating too many bids coming in and best case scenario is Suarez gets a substantial international ban. All great news for Liverpool

Obviously I'm not defending him, what he did was just as shocking and stupid as the other two times.. but I want him in our team and he won't be getting banned for Liverpool.

Isn't it convenient that anytime something retarded at big odds happens these days that there's some big man somewhere who has lumped on it. Bollocks

So you criticize the person who placed the bet but wont criticize the person who committed the deed!

That doesn't really stand up as a comparator - Suarez does what he does on the pitch and that is what can cost Liverpool greatly, someone ****ing about with their wifes sister is a scummy domestic matter. FA/UEFA/FIFA won't be interested will they? Various football authorities are interested in Suarez rather too often.

    http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/luis-suarez-bites-giorgio-chiellini-7320545?
FIFA has announced it will investigate the Luis Suarez alleged biting incident with Liverpool’s Uruguay striker likely to face a lengthy ban if found guilty.

Suarez appeared to have bit Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini towards the end of Uruguay’s 1-0 win, leaving teeth-marks on his shoulder

A FIFA spokesperson told Press Association Sport: “We are awaiting the official match reports and will gather all the necessary elements in order to evaluate the matter.”

FIFA’s disciplinary code sets a maximum ban of 24 matches or two years, but the longest ban in World Cup history was eight games for Italy’s Mauro Tassotti for breaking Spain’s Luis Enrique’s nose in 1994 with an elbow.

OK there is defending a player and everything. That is one ****ed up thing to say. Even if it was meant as a joke that is still the most messesd up thing I've seen in a long time.

So what has been said by uruguay and the Italians after the match? Did the managers say anything? Chiallini?

Exactly what I thought, an overpaid fool biting another overpaid fool doesn't exactly break my heart. Hopefully FIFA make a big deal of it now to dissuade Barcelona or Real from bidding for him.

Watch the rumours of him leaving disappear from Spanish newspapers now...

Prandelli and Chiellini both talked about the bite. Prandelli said he seen the bite marks and Chiellini said Suarez was a very naughty boy.

a dog would be put down. Looks like he'll be staying at Liverpool now. As long as he doesn't get a domestic ban
