Ford GT detail. Unreal savage amount of hours went into correction and protecting the paint. It looks flawless after. An expensive price tag was included when all work was done.

If you have a few minutes it's worth the read: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=178076

Don't want any money for it, the only thing i ask is when you are done with it you pass it on to someone else.

    So.

Managed to succesfully get the car jacked up and stable enough to the point where I could crawl under it.

Enough to come to the conclusion that I definitely can't remove the exhaust midpipe at home. It's not a stability issue now, it's one of access. The jack only goes so high. Just can't work under there with my chest touching the bodywork

Still, I made the attempt and failed due to a reason that wasn't personal cowardice. That's the main thing.

Anyone see the new GTA V update pack?

Citroen SM with a Porsche 911-ish rear end.

Datsun something with a MK1 Escort rear end.

Merc W114 with MK1 Cortina rear end.

    :P Its class

Got the rental car today.......hate, hate, hate it. Did I mention I hate it? makes me not want to drive which is the first car to ever do that to me. Its a 2014 1.2 Opel Corsa, the company wanted to give me a Fiat Panda and this is actually an upgrade. No wonder people have accidents, there is no connection to the road and the dash is miles in front of you, If I had to describe it I would say it feels like an elevator that you can sort of direct. I said I didnt like my sisters Mazda 2 much but it is way ahead of this monstrosity. I might change my mind tomorrow but I am tempted to bring it back and just get the train to work.

Bring it back and ask or a Panda, they'll have one in one of tier branches.

What'd you have before the rental?

After driving anything with 'feel', a modern economy car can often be charitably described as numb as using a cheap steering wheel for Gran Turismo.

The difference is staggering, and takes a little bit of recalibration.

Well I am comparing it to the Chaser, FTO and a 5 Door Civic. Its just so bad, I can now understand the whole "a car is just an A-B machine".

Normal me will return when sober, hopefully, though that seems unlikely at this stage

Cheers all, I'm still not right but getting there. Just seems trying to pull myself out of the gutter to normality has many twists and comes at a huge cost to some things but that's the way it is, I just have to deal with it. I'm bloody terrified to go to the doc and all. I'd ask advice only this isn't the place and it's hugely personal

Chris, what happened to the Chaser? I've been too sick this past few days to do very much, whatever little I got done.

In other news, space has dried up, enough is enough and stuff has to go, not just for the room but I'm broke. My Ka had to bite the dust and in the next I'm having a major clearout to make way for new/existing projects. I was hoping to turn it into a grass rod/tomcat seeing as I got rid of the 106 earlier this year. Sadly, this will never happen now. Sometimes it's sad to see a car go but this one I never got the chance to revive it, was hoping to make a thread on it in the future, which makes it all the worse

    Farewell, my little friend :(

I don't know why bad things happen to me all the time, but I'm sick of it. No matter what I do it always seems to go wrong, what I thought I had was grand turns sour as per norm.

Not only the cars but much more was taken away from me earlier, along with quite crushing news that concerns my health. Just to kick me when I'm down.

I don't know why I bother, I realy shouldn't even start. Maybe I should stay a recluse for my own sanity.

Theres got to be more than this sh*t

Normal me will return when sober, hopefully, though that seems unlikely at this stage

PM sent DGT and you only have yourself to blame lol;)

rear side impact, not drifting unfortunately, I was ran into by an old bloke. Car is grand as only a few scraps and a dent but the steering is all off center so I am letting the guys insurance look after the repairs.

Did you feel the urge to steer it with one hand - ive driven a yoke with that little weight and feel to the steering - that it felt like the best way to drive it was steering with one hand.

Mind you it was a Nissan Tiida :(

Going from a 1.5 Megane to an Rx-8 was an introduction alright. The Megane you can steer with a little finger with no problem it's so heavily assisted. I actually thought steering feel was that odd buzz in the steering wheel, or the heavy juddering it made when it finally decided out of the blue that I was going too fast and ran wide, until I drove the Rx and it's tracking and tugging and nosing along the road and actually feeding things back.

I wondered WTF it was doing for a moment... Then I realised, so *that's* steering feel...

RWD would also enhance the experience of steering feedback, seeing as the front wheels don't have to take the drive
