He doesn't really need to be - Liverpool need a squad and he'd be a good sub if Sterling was knocked or tired.

I could think of better ways to spend £15 or £20 million!

I'm not sure I'd judge Shaqiri on this world cup - he is stuck out right at the start of each game and then moves inside. Should be in the AM position. He showed some quick feet and thinking.

Hopefully, if he comes to us, he won't be playing in any matches where we're as poor in comparison to the opposition as Switzerland were to France.

Can't say who it is but we have signed the player already. The lad is young.

Errr who do you work for? What am I missing here?

France concede two goals when Sakho goes off ;)

    Fescue

So can I, Firmino for example. Shaqiri with a decent shot at goal, also France have conceded twice since Sakho was subbed - co-incidence? I think not.

Sakho has won the joint most aerial duels in the World Cup so far (9) and completed 100 of his 106 passes in the competition #FRA #LFC

Off topic but is a German speaker likely to find english easier than french for example?

In theory yes as they are from the same language family and have a lot of loan words between both languages.

So my efforts to speak french will be somewhat more difficult as they are not from the same language family?

    Many similar words though.

I think so. English is a Germanic language.

Sakho has had a pretty impressive 2 games for France. Albeit against Honduras and Switzerland.

Not sure about Shaqiri on the evidence of the 2 games so far. Granted a very small sample size. Actually think I might prefer Lallana were we to get him for a reasonable fee.

It's ok,you don't need to say that in here. Practically everything is off topic. I can't even remember what the topic is any more :)

When was the last time ya had a Topic.

Very underrated bar. Used to get slagged for buying them cause they were small, and you'd get a bigger bar for the same price. Didn't care, that sh1t was luxurious.

Bet they were all 'awkward' looking though.

Aye but is good enough to dislodge Coutinho or Sterling from there?

Couthinho has mixed the sublime with the ordinary for me last season, some outstanding performances, some only okish.

Don't think you can accurately judge a player on 2 games in a WC. Sure using that logic Gerrard is finished

I'm going to put this out there at the risk of ridicule but one of the positions we could definitely improve on is his.

Oh er right but isn't he already signed? So why is it a secret. Feel like I am missing something here. :o

You'll not hear any laughing from me, Liverpool is carrying Gerrard somewhat when two players are being asked to do the running for him. I hope Can hit the ground running and can show that he can play in a very mobile midfield three.

A secret as we (my school) doesn't usually disclose who our clients are :)
