The best striker in the World wears the red of Liverpool.

When's the last time we could say that.

Not that long ago, for a spell Nando was the best striker on the planet.

    Suarez:
Two shots on target. Two goals.

    He's just taking it easy.

Depends on your definition of best and time frame length! Hunt, Keegan, Dalglish, Rush, Fowler, Owen, Torres can all have a claim to that accolade for at least a few games!

Jasus lads I didn't need my comment micro analysed.

All considered with where the club was not so long ago it's a great feeling to be on the up and have a talent like Suarez with us.

Suarez is better than Messi right now. Ronaldo couldn't do that at 75% fitness.

Luis was very emotional (in tears, but delighted) there in his post game interview.

Time to get behind Costa Rica now. If they can get a result against Italy, hopefully it'll send all our boys home.

Like I say 100m or feck off. Even then you'd wonder if it would be wise - the money for CL is so big and the PL money so big that 100 million is quickly earned now.

Suarez is worth more than any 100m to us.

I wouldn't be confident the committee would spend it wisely tbh

Even better. Either way it's win win. 100m to spend with CL to offer or one of the best players in the world at our disposal and CL to watch him play in :D

And ex-international defender Carragher, who played with Suarez during their time together at Liverpool, claims England should be worried about the Reds hitman.

“You wouldn’t expect him to be one hundred percent fit but Luis Suarez is different from others players in world football,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “He’s a phenomenon.

“He’s a winner and won’t be going into the game worrying about his injury. Some players go onto the pitch, when they’re coming back from an injury, and they’re not the same physically and mentally. He won’t have that in his head though.

“I know what sort of character he is and he’ll be full throttle. Whether he’s as sharp as he normally is remains to be seen but he will not be worried one iota about his injury.

“It won’t stop him harrying people and trying things. That is what makes him a great player. I’m not expecting a one hundred percent fit Luis Suarez, but not far from it.”

Can you blame them for selling Suarez to Real for 100M if that were to happen though ?

I know what you mean btw and personally, I think he'll stay, but if a bid of that much came in for him, I can't blame anyone for him being sold to Real for that amount.
