If I put up on Twitter that Liverpool were interested in signing 30 year old (me) from (Sunday league club) on a free transfer would I make it onto this thread?

No I dont think its dead. Reports are that payment schedules are being sorted out as they wanted it all up front. Could be stalling tactics to see if anyone else comes in with a better bid.

They better be paying double. 10m for Borini, and another 10 for taking Johnson.

Don't they know we're trying to get rid of Johnsons, not add another?

Most likely it would. I love seeing the fake twiiter accounts from two of the RAWK lads and three of the EST 1892 lads being posted on other sites and people trying to claim that the accounts are reliable and real ITKs. The same lads do it season after season and they catch so many people with it.


Shaggy on EST1892 is one of the best at setting up fake accounts that people swallow hook line and sinker. The guy invests so much time in his personas that they often get swalloewd by the media as being credible sources.

There are two twitter accounts floating about since before the Xmas window that have been grown by two of the EST1892 for this summer's window, and have seen a number on here quote them as real journos. Anyone who is a long time regular of the EST1892 private forum will know which accounts I mean.

To be honest I think its ridiculous that people would devote so much of their time to try and make a fool of others.

It is also ridiculous that people believe and quote twitter rumours ad nauseam. I think most are well aware of who is reliable and who is not - and I'm not even on Twitter.

Name and shame please. Bad enough getting all the crap in here, without people actually posting stuff they believe to be someway credible, when others know it to be not.

No idea as to why anyone would go to that effort to make a fake account in order to pretty much troll their own fans, either.

The Duncan Jenkins account that so many loved and tried to make out was a real insider was a Shaggy persona. Lots rushed to follow him on twitter and be an online "friend" to the ITK.

Same thing will happen season after season for as lonbg as people flog to such twitter accounts. Huge amount of the "reliable" or "knowlegeable" twitter account that discuss footy are utter bullcrap. They are just guys good at spinning a spoof and giving themselves fake locations and contacts to suck in the gullible.

Hell there are even a few from this site that have their own BS accounts that people follow like lemmings. Just pop up a fake name, fake location, take info that is already being circulated through various media outlets, get a few journo twitter accounts on your friend list, and suddenly you are an ITK living in Paris, LA, or Madrid and not some guy living in the likes of Limerick, Wexford, or up a hill in Kerry.

Probably should have pick a different hill or mountain. I quite like parts of Kerry .

Ah yeah, like all places, has its good spots and it has its bad.

Was more just taking the piss really, knowing we have a few Kerry residents in this forum. Having spent most of my life in Cork, its kinda in built. :pac:
