    For everyone's benefit

The normal access process for the Soccer Forum is suspended for the duration of the World Cup

This does not mean I am implementing my threat to ban all discussion here, but if this thread does become dominated by World Cup talk I will certainly reconsider it, as well as banning anyone who chooses to ignore my warnings on the matter, possibly for the duration of the World Cup (or longer for those of you that have a record of ignoring mod instructions)

And you will be seeing a bit more of me around here for a while given the problems we have encountered on a regular basis and to help out convert who is currently the only forum-specific mod

Again these decisions are not for discussion here. If anyone requires further clarification please PM me

Well if you really want all the gory details ....

    .... you can have them!

Crashed in a cycle race in Newry back in March. Broke one wrist, the other elbow. Couple of breaks in the sinus area, one in the eye socket, and 2 just in front of the temple. Then there were a couple of minor breaks in spine - one in the neck and the other just a bit further down, together with 4 fractured teeth.

Was iunconscious at the scene for around 30 minutes and they stuggled to get me breathing for a while. The Heart rate monitor data is quite scary with a few "breaks" in the "action". Foirtunately I was being cared for by a medic just back from Helmand province with the British forces - he knew how to deal with a trauma situation!

Now I'm well on the road to recovery and grease doesn't really bother me unless I'm cycling over it....

Didn't edit anything. I deleted a post. Not something I was comfortable with on a public forum.
