Great to see Wiltshire running over and sticking up for Raheem, unlike Young

Pity Wilshire's made of glass though. Nice to see Stevie walk him down the tunnel. Proper Captain. Unlike the one who got sent off.

Can you imagine Wilshere - "I'd knock yer block off, except that I have very brittle fingers. But I WOULD...!"

I am surprised he managed to make it without falling over.

Your either on the rise or in denial. Take the 'pool goggles' off. I will leave it at that.

To note: I'm not excusing Valencia's reaction shouldn't have grabbed him by the throat but 1 week before WC for that kind of **** tackle in a friendly is still BS.

First time I've seen it and it's a very dangerous tackle warranting a red, the reaction was worth the red too.

Loved how the ref went slowly slowly slowly finger on the card to voom voom your off like the speed of light

So you think he intended to break him?
Even though he's trying to make a good impression to his manager, and he has a very good disciplinary record?

Well your (sic) a smarter man than me so...by any chance, are you a United fan??

Again sir, your deluded. nothing to do with being a UTD fan.
The tackle was awful and you continue to defend it.

You still havent explained how you know Sterling would have broken Valencia's leg if he had caught him.

    On the rise it is.

Valencia could have killed Sterling if he didn't let go.

    Oh come on!

'Could' have broken his leg is 100% accurate.

'Would' have broken his leg is mere speculation on your part.

If we could somehow harness power from internet arguments we could sustain a reasonably large nation just from Boards alone

You're gone well past the point where either of you might change the other's point of view - Give it a rest

No. On one comment you say he could have broken his leg then a page later you say if he connected he would have broken his leg.
Just curious to know how you know this... Mystic M!Ck^ ?

Your reading into every word because your defence of his red card is not feasible, could a would a big deal the tackle was **** and deserved a red.

    Here's your hilarious post to confirm it;

Never a red card lads. Yer all gone soft.
Goes in, gets the ball with his left, not high, follow through takes him through Valencia. Cleans out ball and man. Yellow at the very most...at a stretch.
Valencia over reacts shoves, grabs and pushes sterling in the face. Straight red all day long for that.
Sterling showed remarkable restraint in the face of such adversity. He is to be commended for not reacting. Another sign of his continual improvement and maturity.

    Right...

Lads you're arguing about a reckless challenge in a match from a week ago, when the 2 involved have served their suspensions already.

Was the challenge reckless ? Yes
Was it a red? As the rulebook states thats interpretation - Some say Red, others say Yellow. Ref interpreted it as a red as was his right
Could/Would Valencias leg have been broken?... Speculation
    Did Valencia over-react? Yes

Will it have any impact on the WC for either player? No

Now any word on Sanchez and Moreno ?

What's hilarious about that? I called it as I see it. That's how I viewed the incident.
You call things that will never happen. Just wondering where you get your powers from?

Mick, without wanting to drag this out much longer, you're aware that ye are both coming from a position of opinion, rather than fact, and as such, you are the one coming across hilarious right now?

Viewing the incident, and ignoring sections of posts. Lol. You could be quoting yourself.

    Mersey postmen are deadly!
Mersey postmen refuse to join in The S*n's World Cup charm offensive

Workers at Skelmersdale office tell bosses they will walk out rather than deliver free copies

Postmen at a Royal Mail branch are set to defy bosses by refusing to deliver copies of The S*n newspaper.

The posties at the Skelmersdale office will walk out this week after managers said there was no option but deliver it.

The paper, which remains controversial over its coverage of the Hillsborough tragedy , approached Royal Mail to deliver 22m copies across England as part of a World Cup promotion campaign.

The S*n said it would not deliver copies in Liverpool. But some areas of Merseyside – such as Wirral – have the Chester postcode, while Southport has the Preston postcode and Skem shares the Wigan postcode.

Up to 50 staff at the Skem branch were told of the decision to deliver the paper on Friday.

    But posties have reacted angrily.

One said: “I felt sick to be honest that I would have to handle it. We would be delivering it to people that were at Hillsborough and to people that lost a loved one or knew someone that died at Hillsborough.

“You’ll always get people who will do it and people are worried about their jobs, but a good percentage of people will walk out.”
