Hi. I have recently embarked on what I hope is my final journey to weight loss, health amd fitness. I am a 26 year old woman currently weighing 14st 9lbs, a stone lighter than starting 7 weeks ago. I have been watching different threads here and read the stickies on nitrition etc. so I have a decent idea of what I should be trying to achieve. Before having my son 2 years ago I had previously lost over 4 stone through calorie restriction with walking my only form of exercise. I am back restricting calories and working at making changes to make sure I am getting most nutrition possible from my calories.
During my reading this time I have become really interested in exercise focused toward strength training to aid weightloss and change my body's shape as well as its size. I basically want to feel that I look good naked as well as dressed which I didnt before after my 4 stone loss.
I am not a person that is successful with too many changes at once so for now my focus is eating right and losing the weight so I dont want to invest money or too much time into the strength training side of things now but what I do want to do is maintain as much of the muscle that I do have while losing weight and thats what im lookimg for help with.
Today I was given a set of handweights. Heaviest are 10lbs each. Ive seen people say on here that weight like that wont get you very far but that is what I have to work with for now so im looking for someone to lay out a basic strength training plan using these and my own body weight to help me maintain muscle while losing fat so that when I feel i have a proper grip on weight loss and nutrition amd am in the right headspace to start a more serious plan I have a decent starting point.
I am not familiar with exercise terminology at all so looking for plenty of detail on the exercises and as I said "basic" is the key for me right now.
thanks in advance to any helpers
I am not familiar with exercise terminology

Google for full-body dumbbell workouts. There's at least one beginner routine on www.stumptuous.com. Same for bodyweight exercises. You'll find loads of explanatory vids on youtube.

While I can be of no help to you regards weights training, I just want to say well done for losing a stone in the last 7 weeks. I have to say your first post above shows me that you have determination and it is a post you should read to yourself anytime you feel yourself struggling.

Have a read of "new rules of lifting for women" - you can read part of it for free on google books.
