Glen 'poison touch, poor concentration levels' Johnson. Bring back Abel Xavier, we need better hair in the team.
Need to win the best hair trophy, as fourth place trophy will be difficult to achieve next year and I don't think we have a chance at best calendar year performance trophy or even top at Xmas trophy.

Is hair trophy the new best beard?
Can should bring something to the party there

Ashley Cole for me I think he still has a lot to offer. An unlikeable individual but is still great defensively which is what we need. Qualify for the CL again and then spend big money on a LB.

He doesn't have it for Chelski, I hardly think he will start pulling up trees for us so I would not be keen on him at all. The link between Rodgers and Cole is about the only thing giving this oxygen I hope.

He played well in the run of games at the end of the season I think his demise has been exaggerated. AZPILICUETA had a great season it's no harm not being first choice in the best defence in the league. Cole and Enrique if fit would be 2 decent lb options I'd rather we spent money on a rb granted coles wages would be high.

A stop start meaningless friendly where the other team were tackling like mad men.

You miss a shot on goal and you're own fans throw a can at you and hit you.

Why would any player want to play for those kind of fans. No wonder more and more players really can't be bothered about International football.

....and this would never happen at a club match?

Apart from Stephen Ireland can't think of many players who can't be bothered with international football.

Please don't mention those that retired from it at an older age to prolong their career as that is for different reasons.

    Carra?

Carragher was treated like a mug by SGE . He was played in so many positions and was never given a fair crack of the whip at all . Between 05 and 09 or so you could have said he was the best centre back in England but never got a chance with the national team .

Bet it was a Liverpool fan. Worst fans in the world.

Carra had no interest in playing for England, it was always second to Liverpool.

Englands best midfielder of his generation Scholes who said playing for Utd was more important to him than International football and it wasn't about prolongling his club career with him.

Also put Shearer into the same bracket playing for Newcastle was more important to him.

I never stated it wouldn't happen at club level! I said International football as this was an International match not a club match.

Why not mention players who retire early to prolong their career. There are plenty of players in their late 30's who haven't retired to prolong there career they keep playing.

That retire to prolong their career is a cop out for not wanting to play International football anymore.

Im fed up reading some of the speculation on this thread lately, especially about Suarez being sold and looking for us to sign Cole.

Suarez should not even be considered anywhere near being sold. He is a major driving force for the club and clearly our best player by a mile. Now unless a huge bid comes in and he requests a transfer then give over would ye's. Its almost like you expect the club to sell him. We just had the best league season of my lifetime. Why be on a downer thinking the only way is down? F Real Madrid they should be told to go stuff themselves.

Ashley bleeding Cole...dont get me started, seriously you want that contrived money-grabbing little prick in our dressing room? He is too old and couldnt make that chelsea team most of last season. I honestly couldnt look at the prick in a pool shirt. To think some of my ticket money was going into his over inflated bank account would turn my stomach.
    Rant over.

That's Lallana, Shaqiri and Sanchez. You'd imgine it will only be one of them, if any.

Personally I wouldn't judge how good or bad Sanchez has been for Barca, his pace would be unreal in system like Liverpool played last season.

Of those three I would have Sanchez every single time first then Lallana and then Shaqiri.

But what the hell why not try to get all three. I would much rather we spent money on them than the likes of Aspas Alberto and Assaidi.

I'm sorry but these Sanchez rumours if true and if come to fruition means Luis is gone for me.

I had such great plans for this had the end of the season played out differently.

Re LFC & Alexis Sanchez. In 2011 Man City scouts wrote a 56 page report on Sanchez & went all out to sign him. Those scouts now at LFC.
