Indy is one of the best twitter accounts out there. Especially when supposed "legit" journos get offended at him.

    Anyword on Lallana yet???

I think Soton aren't selling until a new manager comes in so it's stalled for the foreseeable future. Might hear more about it after the World Cup.

Can is like a carbon copy of Sahin, you'd swear they were twins, play so similarly and even look like each other
more BS from you. Can is much more dynamic than Sahin & a better dribbler too. He also is good at winning duels too.

Anyone here seen a bit of Emre Can? What will this guy bring to us. Is he another squad player?

Reports are generally good but from what I hear he has a bit to go before he can be a starter for us?

"Liverpool braced for speculation over Real Madrid target Luis Suárez" - the Guardian

Do they think Rodgers and co are just sitting around in their office in Melwood gripping the desk - "any second Brendan la, it's coming, the speculation will be here soon"

Your analysis there tells me all I need to know, you've looked at some stats and moulded your opinion without watching Can play a game, and it's painfully obvious

Firstly dribbling, dribbling is one of the go to attributes when waffling, "oh yeah x player is great dribbler" bullshít, to comment on who's a better dribbler you'd need to watch lots of games of each and take into account other factors like systems played and role in the team. You haven't.

Winning duels? Fair enough you've looked at some stats and Can has won a few more 50 50s, that doesn't mean they aren't similar like I said

Dynamic? What does dynamic mean? It sounds like another go to when waffling tbh.

If by dynamic you mean Can is more energetic, I hope you don't because there are stats that will shoot you down

To be honest I'd be absolutely delighted if Can ended up being like Sahin...awesome player.

I havn't looked at any stats. Ive watched him play about 7-10 games last season as alot of Bayer's games were live on BT Sport. He didn't remind me of Sahin at all. In regards to being Dynamic it means he covers alot of ground & is pretty quick both attributes Sahin does not have. Ypur comparison to Sahin is just completly wrong. Sahin has been excellent since being back at Dortmund though.

In the champions league they averaged near enough the same amount of ground covered. They are very similar. You are wrong and now digging holes so I'll let you have the last word and leave it at this

Also I'm surprised you didn't pull up the posters earlier who were talking about transfer fees in euros, inflating the transfer fee and all that jazz

I also said he is quicker than Sahin. You can try & act smart all u want but to say Can is nearly the exact same as Sahin is completley wrong. Your saying I looked up stats but your the one mentioning them straight away. Im digging holes by posting my opinion on Emre Can??.
Your posting in the Liverpool trying to put a negative on nearly everthing Liverpool are doing. Pretty sad tbh.

Rickie getting involved early and often so far against Ecuador. Nearly had Barkley in with a peach of a through ball.

Anyone watch Can regularly rather than pretend to know what's he's like with stats?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Is comparing Can to Sahin a negative though?

Obviously it didnt work out for Sahin here but if Can has a similar ability and if he's able to push on then I'd be pretty happy for the fee paid being honest.

Quite poor defending from Shaw for Ecuador's goal there. Glad we're in for Moreno instead.

The best way to describe him for anyone who hasn't seen him, he's more in your face than Sahin and prefers the meaty challenges whereas Sahin has good awareness and positions himself for a tackle.

I have seem him regulary this season. He can be a solid player if Brenden can sort out his attitude.
Is a very frustrating player in my opinion, can play a stormer one week and not be at the races the next. If thats down to tactics or personality i am not sure but he comes accross as being a cocky fecker.

Put short, if he is played in the right manner he could turn out to be a star, however if he continues as his with the attitude "i am someone special" he will be a flop.

I wont even go near comparing him and Sahin. Nuri hit his high, made his move, got injured and has never been the same player since. Can hasnt won or proved anything yet but with the right attitude he could be one for the 2015/16 season

Not really as Sahn is a very good player. But Can is a different player.. He is a more skillful player in terms of dribbling, quicker & stronger than Sahin. He's inconsistent but a big talent imo.

Not sure on Johnson or Kelly being sold but would agree with the rest.

I'd like to see all our players that are going out on loan to stay in England if possible.

Would that be a typical performance from him in that youtube vid you posted. Looks like a player who could have you pulling your hair out. Excellent at times and very wasteful others.

If Kelly goes he won't go for much.

Be delighted to see the back of Johnson. Hed probably slip walking out the door.

I really don't see it tbh.

Can must have 3 or 4 inches in height, and a couple of inches across the shoulders on Sahin.

Rickie to get the first goal tonight if he starts? Fairytale end to a fairytale week?

Also when he scored on his debut hadn't his wife just given birth to their first kid a few days beforehand? He likes his 'feelgood' stories does our Rickie!

Ladbrokes enhancing him to 7/1, might throw a few quid on if he starts.

Fook sake, why couldn't he get the first one :(

Gerrup out of it Rickie, that's what we've paid the money for.
