    About the pre order costumes for the 360 digital upgrade, am I right in saying you only get that through Gamestop ?, like I cant go on XBL now and pre-order it like you can on PSN ?.

    So the Steam update to transfer away from GFWL is live.

    Initial impressions are a bit dodge to say the least. Never experienced connection problems as bad as this before. Hopefully they're just teething problems.

    Just been talking to a friend who's in Japan atm and been testing some Cody stuff for me. Now I know people are complaining about the Deejay/Guile/Seth etc changes but no one seems to realise just how much Cody is gonna struggle in this version and most of you will likely disagree because of ladno. Thinking about the changes we Cody players have got..there's really not much good at all.

    The good: Increased walk speed, better backdash, fadc zonk(only if it has the same follow up options on fadc as EX) That's it as far as anything that's helpful goes.

    The bad: Knife armor break, knife combo enders, incredibly situational knife-cancel combos...basically all the knife changes

    The ugly: Massive Ultra 2 damage nerf and from what I understand you still need to be really close to react to fireballs, EX-Upper throw invincibility gone, pushback halved..they must have thought it wasn't already easy enough to punish

    As far as I'm concerned his nerfs far outweigh his 'buffs' and it's gonna be pretty pointless to carry on using him considering the buffs the likes of Chun/Rose/Juri/Hawk/Yang/Guy/E.Ryu/Oni/Gouken have gotten it puts him way behind those that were in and around him in tier lists before.

    Nice of you to totally omit the better cody buffs tho from your post :pac: He got buffed tbh, -4 LP CU means no more sweep for shotos or dp punish for sagat, prolly affects other cast too. U2 dmg loss but will be more consistent now with regards to dropping, walk speed etc etc

    The Akuma buffs are good, but he did suffer a lot. Delayed wakeup affects him the most out of any character in the game, Akuma is one of the characters who can't alter his pressure on the fly. You have to commit with Akuma when going in, so now this damages his game hugely. Characters like Ibuki and Cammy will be able to alter their setups on reaction. There's little reward for scoring a hard knockdown with Akuma now, you put yourself on the end of a 50/50 essentially. Also his air fireball nerf is insanely bad, that's his best zoning tool if not the best zoning tool in the game, tailgating sonic boom. I agree with that nerf tho! It's still gonna be good, just situationally punishable now, requires more thought and makes matchups more bearable, so I think that's a healthy balance change. I like the new options they gave him but overall a huge nerf to his offense and some of his zoning, which is pretty much what Akuma is about. He's still be a solid character, just won't be the best in the game anymore.

    Judging by threads on SRK it didn't release correctly last night.

    The download was there, but a compatibility patch wasn't.

    They revised the time to midnight PST, but still nothing.

    In training mode now, Makoto's midscreen damage/stun is definitely better. 324 from st.HP with 2 meters. We'll have to see how harsh the axe kick nerf is, my guess is people might just use HK instead of MK.

    She can now combo f.MP into F.LP into EX Fukiage. In fact having f.LP into EX Fuki is great, those 3f punishes baby.

    Just testing something I thought would work and works out it does. There's probably tonnes of setups just like this. The flash kick is punishable with a cr.jab for sure, maybe a cr.mk, haven't tested. Guile can't react to pogo on jump in after ex circle so has to take it that the Rolento player is going to cross up, making this ambiguous. Opponent must commit to an option, and rolento can cover each one. Cr.fierce will get CH by rolento j.MK after the pogo, aswell as the pogo jump in itself beating cr.fierce. I think backdash is the only out and it must be inputted as a forward dash, tricky setup

    Punishes for all SRK FADC options, works vs shotos and Guile too after testing. REKT
