Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The current Leicester Tigers kit is the nicest kit hands down. I can't think of any kit that comes close. Maybe Munster.

I love their HEC kit. Montpellier also usually have great jerseys. I'm probably biased but I love leinster's HEC kit the most.

Stade Francais black Jersey with the pink flower is my favourite one around at the moment.

HEC is finished this season. The league strip has another season.

Now that is beautiful. Far too beautiful to be a rugby jersey actually. I actually hate the modern wave of 'stylish' rugby jerseys,it's gotten to the ridiculous point of most clubs trying to outdo each other with garish designs. I don't mind SF doing it as it's their thing, and as far as i know they pioneered this **** habit, but ffs with about half a dozen euro clubs sporting a pink kit lately, it's become a tad overdone.

If munster brought out a pink jersey id be tempted to stop supporting them until it was rescinded

In fairness, most of the pink jerseys are for breast cancer and are an alternative strip. I have no problem with them personally.

Are you sure about that? Think Nottingham wore a pink strip as a once-off to raise money, but Exeter, Cardiff etc had pink as their designated 2nd kit

I know Cardiff definitely was originally. I'd say it still is. They support Cancer Research Wales and had it on the jerseys. A good few others have done it as well. I remember Newcastle for one.

If you get this one you can wear it to rugby and Dublin GAA games!

Connacht's BLK one is new this season (13/14) so given most shirts are for 2 years, I would imagine they'll keep it till the end of 2014/15.

Connacht are changing their shirts this summer according to the shirt release schedule I seen a few weeks ago.

Ah crap, really liked this years! Fingers crossed next one is as nice - not a huge fan of BLK's Reds' home jersey (or their form this year...)

Are Mazda the main sponsor next season? If not then maybe that's why they're changing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,257 ✭✭✭Hagz

No, some local company is the new sponsor.

Haha no kidding. Even the sponsor is the exact same. What are the odds of that. Who's jersey came out first?

The new London Irish kit by O'Neills, preferred their last ones but they were very nice imo, new one is back to basics! london-Irish-n.jpg

Any ideas when we'll see the Canterbury Ireland gear designs? Gonna save up a few bob for things like hoodies and tshirts. Canterbury clothing always seems to outlast the others, bar Kukri in my experience.

The black one is decent, looks too much like a GAA jersey.
London Irish will never top their Kooga efforts, they were awesome.

Yep, they were great - I think I still have mine.

Yep that's the one I had in mind, I lost a few jerseys in a house move, that was one!

I had the same one til it got nicked. then I bought a new one but it didn't have the MG Rover logo.

That's gas, do the ABs usually have blue training jerseys?... On that thought, do the Dubs have black training jerseys?

    Right, I'm off to Ebay!!
Had the cream away one too, which was different kind of fit i.e. XL in green != XL in cream.
Think Scarlets had a similar jersey back then too!

The AB training jersey changes every year or so. The one this year will probably be different.

Any word on when the new Irish kit will be released? I'm assuming not until August/september, but I'd love a new Canterbury jersey for holidays!

Yeah, think it was august last year when the latest one was released.

Looking forward to seeing what canterbury produce.

They do a great job with the Leinster gear, to be fair. Not so much the jerseys, but the training gear and supporters' merchandise over the last few years has been pretty sweet.

I like their jerseys. The actual design element would be largely down to Leinster.

I find that hard to believe considering the identikit jerseys Canterbury were flogging all over the bloody world a few years back.

Well I believe they work closely together. But this years jersey is very much a case of what Leinster wanted, as they've hammered out the 4 string motif everywhere.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,409 ✭✭✭✭salmocab

This years Leinster is the worst for a long time, maybe the Ireland one will have 32 strings coming into one. The best thing about canterbury is the other kit, t shirts training tops and hoodies etc are usually top drawer.

To be fair to them it seems that they have learned their lesson from that debacle. Having said that they always seem to have the Leinster jerseys tie in with whatever the marketing folk in D4 come up with, remember the unicorn jizz/blue magic stuff

    salmocab wrote: »

That's been said about every Leinster jersey since 2009. It really isn't that bad at all. Neither was last years, or even the unicorn jizz one. They may not have been the nicest jerseys going but they were decent. And they were different each iteration. I'd hate to think they'd expect us to buy new jerseys that looked exactly like the old ones.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 18,217 Mod ✭✭✭✭CatFromHue

The thing about the unicorn jizz was that it was very very different than all the previous jerseys and even the Leinster colours. It was completely unexpected.

In saying that the white away version was actually nice enough, the blue home one was rank.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,257 ✭✭✭Hagz

The unicorn jizz jersey is the nicest jersey I own.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 27,266 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

I actually kinda like the unicorn jizz jersey...

That light blue European one was awesome though.

Someone on LF said the unicorn jizz was the best-selling jersey so far.

It was also the first jersey after our first HEC win and the last season we held a HEC QF game in the RDS........if that makes sense!

Yeah think Canterbury must have brought in a new designer who should be fired.
