    Talking to BBC NI here
Reminds me of the Blackadder episode where Edmund was trying to get Baldrick elected to Parliament

She got elected and probably has more votes than anyone on this forum. That is democracy for you. The people went out and voted for her.

hell we have our dissociated political nut jobs (ming wallace daly etc ) why cant they have theirs, its only fair after all

Still pissed at them for showing just what an institutionally corrupt, inept, and mismanaged organization your beloved Garda are?
You'll get it over it someday.

It looks like the north has its very own Al Murray. I'd love to see her face when she finds a "happy holidays" card on sale next to a happy Dewali card.

That's the elephant in the room for our Orange neighbours, the more bigoted they are the more likely it preys deep down in their minds that they are the interlopers and the ''Taigs'' are the real Ulstermen.
Everybody in Northern Ireland was descended from someone born somewhere else. Being bigoted now is different from having a terrorist past, although I do wish neither would get elected the fact that they do gives a voice to their supporters, keeping them inside the tent rather than outside.

Bunting has 'apologised' for her remarks, though it does ring a bit hollow.

    Regarding her comments, she said...

"I wrote them in the wrong. I've matured since then and I realise now that ranting on Facebook isn't going to change anything. The council chamber is where I will be voicing my concerns."

"I don't support foreign flags being flown in the streets of our city and I object to the changing of our street names. That's the mandate I was elected on by a community frustrated by the constant pandering to Sinn Fein/IRA."

"I do want to apologise for the innocent people in the Court ward who I offended with by using the word Catholic when I meant republicans."

Regarding the Facebook group that shared her comments, she said

"I know that there is a largely student element to those working for LAD and I would think that Queen's University would be keeping their students a bit busier than trawling through Facebook to dig up dirt and slander people."

    slander
    Pronunciation: /ˈslɑːndə/

    NOUN

    [MASS NOUN]
    Law

    1. The action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person’s reputation.

All LAD did was repost her own comments, which included this:

"Jerry kelly has to be riding matt fagget or maybe its his kids but theres deffo sexual favours lllf"

...which she posted on June 18th.

Has she matured so much in 11 months that she retracts her actual slander with a side order of homophobia and a paedophilia snipe thrown in for good measure? She hasn't non-apologised for that.

Doesn't say very much about NI though does it? You seem to be endorsing these types of divisions?

Read her statement. Issue has been sorted going by that. She still got elected. LAD should get over it.

You seem to be dodging my question regarding sectarian divisions in Northern Ireland both in this thread and my thread in the politics forum. How do you propose that we alleviate the current divisions, the fact that 95% of schools are segregated, that only 5-10% of marriages are mixed, the increasing number of peace walls.

How do you, as a unionist, propose that we integrate fully, or are you against integration in Northern Ireland?

The issue has not at all been sorted with her mealy mouthed non-apology.

Why on earth should anyone "get over" a lowlife sectarian scumbag being newly elected?

A newly elected UKIP candidate has been suspended by his party and is being disciplined over racist and homophobic comments he made on his facebook being elected. Should they all "get over it" too?

Heh, turns out UKIP hold themselves to a higher standard than TUV, who would have guessed? http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-hereford-worcester-27565266

Sorted how?, shows what type of people still exist when this sort of sectarian idiot can get elected.

    She only further discredits Unionism.

A load of right wing are 0's have been elected across Europe.

Didn't a neo Nazi get a seat from Greece?

People have voted far right. Forgetting that the Nazis were not just racists... They were an elected political party.

Our female friend up north is racist scum by her own admission. And closet racist scum voted for her. What she chose to publicly say is surprising, if it goes unpunished. Her seat should be removed due to her attitude and Europe's racial sensitivity.

We are on the same island... How she feels about somebody with a different complexion does not warrant thought.

Ulster is full of people elected who hold views which you might not agree with. That is democracy.

Yes and people who support terrorism and murder, anti abortion views, anti gay views and so on. That is what is great about Ulster, a wide range of views.

Every state has a wide range of views, but not all views are worth having around - racism and xenophobia, for example.

They exist and nothing can be done about it. Freedom of thought is one of the fundamentals of freedom.

There's "views which you might not agree with" and "views that render people unfit for public office".

But I see that you agree with racist graffiti and are in favour of UKIP, and "let it go" doesn't apply to Mountbatten's killer depsite it having been decades ago and the man having served his time, which tells me that your standards are in line with those of TUV.

How is this person supposed to represent any poles or republicans present in her constitutency?

Could say the same about Sinn Fein and the outrageous comments they made during the Gerry Adams arrest.

Her cause amounts to 'no Fenians here'. The aforementioned 'cause' didn't arise as a result of the PIRA backlash to state terrorism, no, it was always there. Indeed 'no Fenians here' was front and centre in causing the troubles in the first place.

The world has moved on. The sectarian state has been dismantled and there'll be plenty of Fenians about administering the place.

I hope she grows in confidence about her views so that the world can see her and her ilk for what they are and what they always were.

A good few of them around here defending her views.
Funny that she mentions Jeremy Kyle when Miss Bunting and her supporters would make up a cracking show.
"And now miss Bunting our dna test reveals that you are indeed a racist, homophobic, sectarian illegal immigrant to this island".

She does seems a perfect Jeremy Kyle show case.

I wonder how she feels about this young chap?

Illegal immigrant? Go take it up with the people who voted for her. Like I said, she has a mandate and probably more votes than anyone on here has.

That's the second time you said that,"she has more votes than anyone around here",what does that even mean?
Its a pity you weren't in her district, looks like she has a ready made devotee to her views.

Hopefully the PSNI will investigate the vile and racist comments made by this odious creature and take the appropriate action, they are currently looking into the anti islamic comments made by the zealot preacher Mcconnell, and now endorsed by Robinson:confused: soon there will be no PSNI personel available to do the normal everyday policing functions they are required to do:(.
