But GAA like to pretend they aren't hugely disrupting the local area, don't make any real accommodations to deal with the issues around having such a huge number converging on a small residential area and generally give 2 fingers to the residents. That's why they're taking the pee.

    Agree with you here.

The agreement is three events and they may apply to have more than that. Residents are saying it's taking the absolute pee having 3 in a row and 6 weeks later having 5 in a row. And yeah, they're selling tickets to a concert that doesn't yet have permission to go ahead

Am inclined to agree with the residents. Was at the 1direction concert (with teenager) on Saturday and did signs on people's windows saying 'Stop the Croke Park madness'. I did feel bad, traipsing past them at 11pm, especially if they had little ones that needed to sleep, or were older people who felt trapped in their own homes.
As I don't ever go to concerts in Croker, this really was a rude awakening of what the residents have to put up with.

What a scummy cúnt. What will throwing bleach down into a crowd of concert goers achieve?

I'm always a bit skeptical when I hear or read these stories. Other than "Deirdre" there's not a single verifyable fact in the entire story. Did "Deirdre" make a complaint to the Guards? Or to anyone?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

How do you know what the knew? Yes, it's a venue, but if the moved in say 5-10 years ago, how anty concerts would you say they would have been expecting?

I'm not buying the bleach story.

No mention of how old the boy was. He said the person that did this was "bold". How old was this kid, 2?

The main flaw though is that in their walk from Croke Park to Abbey St, they only spoke to one guard and that was before the alledged incident when they asked for directions. Being the good parents that they are, they rang a radio station and not the guards?

    lol

Its a "Talk to Joe" article, what can you expect?
I actually cringe at what that rag prints.
Deirdre never apparantly bothered her backside to ring the guards despite her wailing and hand wringing.
    What did she do???
She rang liveline and got a MARKER to colour in the t-shirt.:D:rolleyes:
You really couldn't make it up.

    Yeah, pretty much spot on.

It went from "we" were covered in a liquid to just the child.

I'd also question the whole "smells like a swimming pool" bit. What swimming pool is she bringing her kids to take smell of bleach?

Sounds completely made up and nonsensicle.

I'd also add that if somebody threw bleach over my child and i knew the exact window it came from then the Garda would be notified immediately and the property in question clearly identified to the authorities.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

I'm not the one throwing a bottle of bleach out a window to target a crowd of concert goers that's mainly a childrens event.

You're also not convincing people that it happened

Neither are the residents or anyone on this thread. But the uncouth vulgarity of the language you lot use, the threats of vandalism, urination of property and the general disrespectful not-so-nice attitude you use wouldn't endear me to you or have me wanting you outside my house tanked up on booze and all exited.

You don't sound very nice. That's all.

What has that even got to do with this thread? If it even happened at all, it was just a random act of thuggery and nothing more.
No self respecting resident of the Croke park area would do such a thing.

In short, something may or may not have happened on the 2km walk from Croke Park and Abbey street.

    It's terrible Joe.

Where was my threat of vandalism and urination of property? In what way did I disrespect you and others? By buying a concert ticket, is it? You're very small minded if you think I'm going to be tanked on booze.

Other Garthy fans have made these threats, you have just used vulgar language.

    Where

You, amongs others, your filthy mouth... Not nice. I wouldn't fancy having you knocking around my house. I'd rather you would stick around where that type of talk is normal. Wherever you come from.

I won't be knocking around your house. I'll be walking from Dublin city to Croke park in July on the days that I'm due to attend.
