Lovely round from Shane Lowry - delighted to see that. And very nice round from Harrington too - here's hoping.

Just watching the highlights now. Don't imagine they'll show much of the Laois man.

The problem is that when Rory plays, he gets the bulk of the coverage.....and of course, the bulk of the stupid comments from the commentators.

The defending champ had a bit of a nightmare yesterday, shooting 80.

2 shots they showed in the first 40 minutes. I fell asleep.

Really hope Lowry can kick on today and get into double figures under par. The course seems to suit his eye and he's obviously playing well.

    Poulter so unlucky there!

That's some cruel break for Poulter right there. Ouch.

Good stuff now from mcilroy. Having slipped away to -1 he's got it back to -4

If he can pick up a birdie from the last two holes and finish -5 he'd be in a great position. The conditions look like being very poor for the evening so can't see anyone going too far ahead

    Ah Harrington :-(

Shane Lowry four holes into his round and sky sports have shown him once... For a few seconds. He is in second place!

Martin Kaymer. Oh dear oh dear.

Bit clumsy at the fourth but conditions are very poor.

Scoring was not as good today, so Lowry's -2 was a great effort.

Delayed start because of overnight rain, so it's three-balls - good for Damian McGrane who would have been going out on his own.

Why was McGrane going out on his own? Did his 3rd round partner withdraw? He was first on the +2 in the clubhouse so last of them out today.

I think it might just have been uneven number making the cut. Anyway, he is level par so far, on what looks like a difficulty day for scoring.

unreal back 9! -7 for the 9 holes and he should have birdied 17 aswell. Could have been a 29 on a par 37!

What was the storey with Rory's plugged ball on the fairway? It just showed his drive plugging & then next shot, it was sitting up lovely on the fairway.
    Was that a free drop?

They had prefered lies today within a club length

How come they get a club length and 'we' don't?

Watching highlights again. Some serious style being showcased. Only thing about Bjorn is his shirt. Can't find it online...??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭big_drive

    What do ye think?

Will Bjorn do it? Serious lead but he can be shaky at times. If he gets off to bad start again it might make it tight

5 strokes is a commanding lead alright, but it's been done before. Looks like good weather there now.

Harrington and McGrane already started their rounds. Both level par at the moment.
