Firstly, referring to a poster as a "Shinnerbot" is in itself "attacking a poster"
Secondly, how can me making an observation that you joined the site in may14 (22 days ago max) be classed as attacking You?
You are attacking the motives of the person making the post rather than the content of the post.

The content suggested that Dan spends his time boosting Sinn Fein and attacking the other parties at every opportunity. Unable to refute this, you instead try to suggest there's something wrong with someone registering in the last couple of weeks.

Secondly, how can me making an observation that you joined the site in may14 (22 days ago max) be classed as personally attacking You? (it's right there on your username)
I would rather be a "shinnerbot"and get out and vote than sit at home narking on Boards.ie

Shinnerbot doesn't like Shinnerbot label . Shock.

Yet supporters of other parties are supposed to tolerate Shinnerbot abuse. Double standard?

Ok...... Maybe I take it back, maybe you are only here 22days. You're most definitely barking up the wrong tree accusing old bumper here of being a Shinnerbot :D

Good man. Go and do that. Sinn Fein have the solution to all our problems. I know, because they said so, and I believe what politicians tell me.

    What exactly is a Shinnerbot?

I see that sheep like word trotted out continuously by posters who seem to use it as a stick to beat any poster who doesn't agree with the demonisation of Sinn Fein.

Is there a similar childish moniker for people who support other parties?

One man one vote, you don't like SF? Don't vote for them.

Proclaiming you're not voting is merely making you look foolish tbh. You've no moral high ground to be stomping loudly around an Internet forum ridiculing folk for their political persuasions when you refuse to contribute.

Like Dan said, you not voting isn't helping anyone.

Do you get paid every time you say 'shinnerbot'?

    Erm

    I started the thread

I'm an ex serving member of the British army

I wouldn't vote SF if i was paid

You obviously have no idea what the thread is about and you're just repeating "shinnerbot" to get a reaction.

Shinnerbots are different: they have a religious fervour for Sinn Fein. Supporters of other parties just aren't that bothered, generally.

    Childish monikers:

    Blueshirts (FG)
    Fianna Failures? (FF)
    Champagne Socialists? (Labour)
    Na Glasraí (Greens)
    The Commies? (PBP, Socialists etc)

Shinnerbot tactic number 1: if you can't refute the point, attack the poster personally.

LOL irony overload does not compute

Nope. But it's interesting how many are coming out of the woodwork.

    No.

    It's tedious and childish.

You genuinely haven't noticed the fervour of the SF fan club?

    Seriously?

    Seriously?

and you think repeating 'shinnerbot' over and over and over is lending what exactly to the discussion?

By the way, I genuinely hope to see SF in government in the next Dáil. It is very easy to have all the answers when you are in opposition, as FG and Labour are proving.

Well, respect for admitting that you are indeed a Shinnerbot.

I'm not voting because there isn't a single decent candidate in my constituency.

    Which constituency? I'm curious.

Why are you avoiding my question? That strikes me as childish. If you are going to put questions to me, please have the respect to answer mine.

You just sound like a paranoid nutter at this stage. Accusing anyone that calls you up on your stupid parroting of the word 'shiinerbot' of being one of them

Ok, thanks for that contribution. I'll use the term as I see fit, if that's ok with you?

    What exactly is a Shinnerbot?

An Phoblacht doesn't appear to attach a negative connotation to the term, though it clearly irks those of a republican persuasion hereabouts.
This year was the first time online Sinn Féin activists (aka #shinnerbots to the Twitterati) seriously organised themselves, pushing the republican message across Twitter and owning Facebook, something noted a couple of times in the mainstream media.
Politics.ie founder David Cochrane, who repeatedly hit out at the quality of some of the print media in Ireland, spoke positively about Sinn Féin’s use of social media and, with a hint of admiration, the so-called ‘Shinnerbots’ - republicans active in online forums and news-sites to support the party.

Has this sort of horse**** worked for you before or were you just laughed at like is happening here?

FG are just gleefully taking advantage of the situation to implement their agenda.
Like for example how they try to bring in water charges every time a FG/Lab government gets in.

I have read every single post on this thread and my conclusion is that anyone who fails to share your view of Sinn Fein is dismissed by you as a 'shinnerbot' regardless of the contents of their post or how considered their response.

It reminds me of Enda's tactic of shouting 'Jean McConville' at Adams regardless of whatever it is Adam asked.

Suspected it'd be South alright. I've no ****ing clue who to vote for down here either. :(

You are still not answering my question. That's pretty poor form from the person claiming the high moral ground.
