Just had some in a nice restaurant on the North Sea coast near Mundesley.

    Freshly caught this morning.

It's not on the menu. The chef told us not to mention it as he fears the negative publicity it might bring. (So I came straight to After Hours).

Doesn't taste like ckicken at all. Bit tender. Could have done with another minute or two on the pan.

    I'd have it again though.

It treats a good merlot with handsome respect.

I am by no means a vegetarian, but I don't think I could live with myself knowing I ate some dolphin. Shame on you OP.

    I've eaten ortalan too.

    Somewhere near Lyon in 1998.

    It was yuk.

But then, I don't like Cognac.

And I cheated by not keeping the cloth over my head the whole time.

It is very unlikely that the OP is being truthful here as the restaurant would risk their business as would any ship that hauled a dolphin to port. Greenpeace would have a ship up there quicksmart.

    +1.

If the OP is being truthful, it's likely that they were fooled by dolphin fish (mahi mahi) being on the menu. It usually fools those who think that eating dolphin might be a mad story to tell the lads (or readers of boards).

    No.

But we might pop in there tomorrow. Lamb steak looks nice.

I ate squirrel in vietnam over Christmas. It's kinda like eating ribs but it's too bony. Still had the teeth and all in it! Had scorpion too - delicious!

If it lives in the sea and gets caught by fishermen.

    Tough,

It's edible and looks good on a plate.

I'd opt for for a nice Bracetto wine next time though.

I'm pretty sure it is illegal to deal in dolphin and whale meat/ parts.

I had squirrell in Cambodia once.

Twas riddled with sauces to make it taste nice.

In fairness, the waiter put what we didn't finish into a bag to eat later. (Via a nice tip).

When we got back to the hotel that night we fúcked the bag out the window.

    Twas full of bones.

That's how they tricked me into eating unexploded mines.
