I was shown some exercises on them last week but just curious what benefits anyone noticed? I found them a bit uncomfortable to do but I guess like anything you get used to it

What were the exercises and in what way where they uncomfortable?

an arm and back of leg one, the one I found uncomfortable was the leg one as the roller was switched to a short stiffer one and I had the other leg on top for additional pressure.

Was it uncomfortable because it was sore?

Its meant to be uncomfortable at first. Your muscles are not used to it.
Keep going, it will get better

You don't have to apply max pressure in the beginning, ease into it. When I feel a knot or sore apot I generally stop rolling but keep pressure on and wait for muscle to release. Fully attribute my return to running to the foam roller.

I use one to stretch out my back, I recently started to go to an intensive circuit class three times a week, and it was a shock to the body!!!

I started to get back pain and my trainer insisted I got a foam roller and gave me stretches to do.

No more back pain, allowing me train better.
