Hey I am looking for advice. I'm a guitar player and last year I injured my shoulder playing gaelic football. It hasn't been right since and I can't work or play music it is really getting me down and damaging me mentally. I have been to the doctor numerous times, gone through two physios( my second one said it was a brachial plexus injury) gone to a bonesetter(quack) and now the consultant is sending me for nerve conduction studies next week. Basically what I have is a constant tightness in my wrist and pins and needles in my hand, I have a pain in the shoulder and around the neck. When I put my two shoulders against a wall I can't feel my right shoulder. I don't know what to do and I am on the verge of a complete mental meltdown, if someone could give me advice on what to do it would be greatly appreciated.

ever get an MRI for it?

Yes and an x-ray, the x-ray showed nothing but the MRI said I had supraspinatus tendinitis but then when I went to the consultant he said I didn't. Would it be worth going to a chiropractor? I asked my physio how many more sessions is it going to take and he said 3-4 but somehow I just don't believe this. He is also not giving me exercises, should he be giving me some?

I think going to a Shoulder Specialist might be a good idea

Is the shoulder specialist the orthopaedic surgeon I have been seeing or is it someone completely different?

Get a second opinion on your MRI.

John Lund repaired my shoulder in the Hermitage and did an excellent job.

Ok, should I be looking for a specific shoulder specialist or an orthopaedic surgeon? Also is there any shoulder specialists down here in munster?

I'd always go for a specialist especially with your shoulder it's a very complex joint.

I'm sorry for your troubles OP, but medical advice isn't allowed on the forum. All the best with your recovery.
