you know the craic with not being allowed to touch/hold a phone while driving

When did this come in. I thought you weren't allowed but the phone to your ear never heard of not being able to touch it full stop.

Heads up for anyone in Dublin who hasn't seen this - I posted it in C&T last week but got lambasted by all the bus-loving cyclists  :p
First up is the introduction of a permanent right turn ban from Custom House Quay to Talbot Memorial Bridge.

They’re not messing around either, this ban will apply from 10.30 next Monday morning 12 May.

Other traffic changes at the city centre quays include:

Vehicles wishing to access Matt Talbot Memorial Bridge from Eden Quay will have to turn left onto Beresford Place, going round the back of Custom House and then continuing south across the bridge.

Vehicles wishing to access Matt Talbot Memorial Bridge from Butt Bridge (Tara Street/Georges Quay) will have to continue north onto Beresford Place, going round the back of Custom House and then continuing south across the bridge.

    From here

That doesn't make things smarter. That just confuses further an already confusing layout

That was my point, as well as dumping more traffic around Busaras/Gardiner Street which is a mess at the best of times anyway.

But it's all for a new bus lane apparently so what do I know?

Youd want to be more then a little odd to lambast someone whose trying to be helpful in pointing out important changes to road layout/traffic management.

Btw - thank you for the heads up

That always drives me mad, I remember a kid sitting in the wing of the f40 at the Gumball rally in Tullamore last year. It wasn't my place but I boiled and told him to get the **** off it!

The kids around mu area are really, really disrespectful towards cars. My neighbor has had two kids (about 4) pick up a large enough piece od a cavity block and throw it down on the bonnet. The car is already a bit of a heap so she never bothered doing anything about it. On two occasions I have had the same kids write on my cars with lipstick (only last week they did it to the Jag, all down the quarter panel) Luckily it rubbed off.

When I got the Wolseley I warned their parents that I won't be so lenient if they cause any damage. They weren't too happy.

Bet the parents just see a car as just an A to B appliance type thing and have no concept of the idea of a car been someones pride and joy :(

Where the feck do you live where little ****s are allowed get away with that...if the 4 year olds are allowed do that to a car I'd hate to see what their older siblings do be up to.

Theres actually a decent garage and everything, it'll fit one car and the others need to be kept outside. Cheap rent and only 10 minutes from where I work, great I thought 'till I met some of the neighbors.

On this went to see back to the future at a drive-in movie in they had 3 Delorans there everyone was taking pictures of the cars, then a fmaily came over the entire family climbed in all over the deloran to take a picture of themselves in the car.
Never even asked the owner could they do it, just climbed in themselves.
Kids climbing all over the interior, parents where shocked when the owner of the car came over and f*cked them out of it, "but we are just taking a picture with the car"
It boggles me peoples attitude as to what they let their kids up to.

No I don't have kids, but if I did they would be in deep sh1t if they disrespected other peoples stuff like that.

Madness - only cure for that is for De lorean owner - to find the family Galaxy and stand up on the roof :D

Guranteed the Parents would find that VERY unamusing - but it might teach them a lesson
