Very hard to pick anything on the final day of the premiership tomorrow.

Everton are standout at evens. Very generous. I'm happy to have just the single. A large one.

Will throw Palace and Stoke into a treble with them at about 19/1.

Think Liverpool 6-0 looks about right. 35/1.

The only draft I know is served cold. In a pint glass.

Betfair match odds make Liverpool 22.14 to win the league yet they've actually shortened a bit over night. If you believe the match odds one could argue City are a bet at 1.05

They say he who hesitates is lost. I hesitated and didn't take 11/10 arsenal during the week. 1.77 now

A decent bet today for an interest could be liverfool to be topping the league at anytime today@8/1. I can't see my beloved hammers getting anything in the eithihad, other than a hiding.but effectively you would be getting 8\1 for liverfool to score before man city. That bet is in Ladbrokes BTW.

But Liverpool would need the hammers to go ahead as they will still be 2nd due to goal difference and the hammers haven't a hope of scoring IMO

Would man city not need to be behind as well considering they are 2 points clear and have a bigger goal difference.??

Oh yeah, sorry I miscalculated about city having a point, doesn't seem that decent after all. Unless the unthinkable happened and the hammers scored an early goal. Wouldn't be the shock of the season if the hammers did score at some stage, they will be more relaxed with nothing to play for,but ultimately city will get the result they need.

There will be no drama today, Liverpool and City will both win easily.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,669 ✭✭✭Colonel Sanders

City's goal difference is 13 better

I'm prepared to ignore the possibility of Liverpool winning on goal difference for the purposes for any calcs

Interestingly Liverpool could join City on a century of goals today

The goal lines on City & Liverpool's games are as high as I've ever seen, no idea if they're justified or not tbh

The Hammers frustrated Man Utd in 1994, maybe they can do a double today!

Hard to see IMO, if you're into punting almost 1/20 shots (I'm not FWIW) a lay of Liverpool at 19 would be reasonable

Had a dream they both won 3-0, that's where my cash will be going. :pac:

Just goes to show how much of a decline Liverpool have been in for the last umpteen years that their fans are absolutely creaming themselves over finishing second. A little over twenty years ago second would have been disappointing for them.

Had an argument at work with a Liverpool fan the other day. "We didn't bottle it sure we still had city and Chelsea" "So ye didn't bottle it after beating city and being 1/6 for the league"

In fairness I don't think they necessarily bottled it. The slip against Chelsea was the difference, forcing them to chase which perfectly suited Mourinho's tactics. Against Palace, they could have beaten them out the gate at one stage but a combination of over committing to attack, naivety and a poor CB partnership cost them. The loss of Henderson has also been a massive factor - the simply don't have a replacement for him in terms of workrate and covering for others.

I always said big Andy would win the league for the pool. Today is that day. Hatrick for AC and for suarez.

    A man can dream!

Two hands on the title. Didn't even need to win against Chelsea and they get beaten two nil. Three nil up against Palace and they draw. Sounds a lot like bottling

Sounds a lot like you're worried Urban. Listening to United fans only convinces me that we must really be back.

Keane talked about United players shaking and bottling big European games so maybe you can recognise it better than me but I just seen a team seriously over achieve this year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

No United were **** all year bar in Europe and any United fan that says otherwise need a reality check. But like the Liverpool fans saying they didn't bottle the title

He was referring to when he played. It shocked him that players on the pitch beside him were shakng with fear rather than chomping at the bit.

Probably should have had more but there aren't too many games that stand out they necessarily bottled it. Porto at Old Trafford when Mourinho won it probably stands out as one in particular

Suppose I'm saying that if you think we bottled it as 1/6 shots then you must think we seriously over achieved as 33/1 shots. I think that was our pre season price.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Suppose so, though it was a fair price given all the years of under achieving.

It'll be a sad day at Anfield Suarez's last game

That's a fairly simplistic view of things, Urban. I'm a United fan too and would love nothing more than to say they bottled it but if you've followed Rodgers tactics since he took the job, it was always likely to be all or nothing for Liverpool. They've dropped lots of points over the last two seasons by trying to play football from the back (Gerrard's slip was only the latest in a string of similar, Toure mostly, errors). He was never was never going to alter their style n search of success. Doesn't mean they bottled it.

    Ha ha. Good one.

Sad because you'd miss his genius every week ?

Don't worry. He'll be there next year.

Couple of decent punts in the soccer

Man Utd, Liverpool, Sunderland & Arsenal very strong

I'm seething I didn't take odds against arsenal

No he is a great player. I just wonder how tempting Madrid and their 100 million euro offer would be

I've just fallen behind in my money league in fantasy football! Disaster, need Suarez, Sterling, Sturridge, Toure and Dzeko to do something quick! Thought I had my league wrapped up.
