I don't have this for breakfast but my go to shake recipe is

    kale
blueberries (frozen) - also gives a nice cool taste
banana (weekend only if doing a workout)
    nuts
tablespoon of your "superfood" mix of choice
    Cayenne pepper
half water/half almond milk for a bit of depth

I have a high speed blender but either way blend it well so you don't feel you are chewing the kale. Also recommend not chugging it down, let your mouth kick off the digestive process.

About to start making smoothies. In general can I do this with a hand-held blender or do I need to invest in something more expensive/exotic?
