    yes, £25m is silly.

as long as it doesn't affect signing other players, then meh.

    not my money.

if it's eating into whatever our budget is in a big way, then I might think differently.

Speaking of Adam I'd like to hear Bellamys views on Lallana before we even attempt to sign him....

Or if Carroll gets the winner v City.

I'll personally take the player of the season award off Suarez and hand it to the pony tailed warrior.

Lallana is a bit of a step down from Muller.

Would be happy with Lallana, quite versatile and could slot right in to 3 or 4 positions. Need depth next year.

I like Lallana, think he would add alot to our squad.

But anything over £15m and I'd be looking elsewhere.

Lallana is at much the same level as Coutinho. Coutinho was signed for £12m.

If we're spending £25m, we should be looking at Mkhitaryian calibre of players.

Lallana is ahead of Coutinho and Coutinho was undervalued by Inter as well

25m is too much for Lallana.

Not a whole lot between them.

    Coutinho is 4 years younger.

Actually speaking of Coutinho, it's easy forget that he's only 21.

    So much potential.

Same level? Lallana is a lot better IMO as it stands but Coutinho has potential, 25m is a risk though, I'd have rated Fellaini at a higher level than Lallana is now before he moved to United and that turned out disastrously so far, you just don't know if they'll make the step up.

Would Liverpool spend 40-50 million on Lallana and Yevhen still needing at least two defenders and a midfielder?

From the official site, on phone so cant link.

75 years ago today Bob Paisley joined Liverpool.

£25/30 for both Lallana and Shaw would be about right imo.

Fellaini was good for Everton as an AM, he wasn't suited to United's style of play.

Lallanna is an intelligent versatile player, could see him slotting in well alongside SAS.

Better players available for £25m though. Willian didn't cost much more.

I'd agree. We need winners. Players who have the experience of a league win. 25M could get us Javi Martinez or Xherdan Shaqiri...

    Here they are:

"Adam is a late bloomer. You have to wonder why it's taken him until now to break through. He's had a good season though and deserves a move to a bigger club. I wish him well."

Feck it, we'd have killed for Lallana type player and form this time last year. As mentioned and as is bleedin' obvious he'd slot in seamlessly the only thing to quibble about is the price, which is high but the only price that matters is the one paid not quoted in the media.

Going rate for English to English I'm afraid. He is player off the year for the saints so why would they let him go for anything less.

Bayern won't take a loss on Martinez, nor would they need to, I imagine. Someone will pay £30m+

Xherdan Shaqiri has stated he is going nowhere as far as he is concerned.

Both Real and Barca are also interested in Javi M.

And I can bet Senor Pellegrini will be as well.

So he will cost more than 25m

Won't be happening in this version of our world unfortunately .

I know that and every sane fan knows that. But neither of them are worth the money that is been spoken about about.

Shaw will probably go for 30 itself, quality left backs are hard to come by and with shaw any club who owns him is set for 10+years with a quality lb with hige potential.

If we sign 2 attacking players of the ilk of Lallana, Konoplynka, Mkhitaryan, who do people want to be dropped from the best XI? I know we will have more games and need a bigger squad, so we need some new players, but Henderson/Sturridge/Suarez/Sterling especially should still be our starting attackers next season imo. Coutinho, while still only 21, is one that has lacked consistency.

Being in the CL next season is fantastic, and we will need a need a better bench to actually make a difference in games when we need them, but we will not still be in a position to have 20 top class players on the associated wages as well. If we buy Lallana for 25m he will be expected to start the majority of games. I don't expect us to buy Muller, those are just silly rumours, although if we lose Suarez we will have to splash on a pretty high profile replacement.

It's a good problem for us to contemplate, but I'm assuming the main priority will be the defence.

Defence and a World Class DM I think.

I think the two front end buys will be from a trio of Lallana, Konoplyanka and Griezmann and Borini back as the third choice striker.

Two quality full backs hopefully, johnson would be the first player out the door for me. Not really any "world class" DMs around but id agree thats an area that needs investing as we will have a lot more games next year and cant rely on stevie, a year older, to be consistently playing.
